would you give up a seat for a pregnant woman? You will be surprised as to the number of people who don't! Everyday i see this, a pregnant woman, and a couple of young men and women too and they pretend to be asleep in Mrt. Its so selfish sometimes and well i cannot force anyone of course to give up their seats for a stranger... If it was you, will you? Why or why not?

Yes, I always gave up my seat for women, the elderly, the disabled and so on. Now people sometimes give up their seat for me. I don't know if I should feel honored or just accept that I'm getting old! It's rather a strange feeling that I haven't quite come to terms with yet.

I definitely would. However, i would not expect everyone to do the same thing. There are cases where guys come from work, or maybe got into a fight so he spent the night sleepless, and so many other reasons still, reasons that we can not really know. Therefore, these guys cannot be expected to give up their seats for anyone else. But as for me, I would give up my seat for sure.

Yes,i will definitely give up my seat for pregnant lady or whoever are not convenience. I had asked a young man to give his seat for a pregnant lady once but of course i did it politely and the young man is willing to give up his seat friendly. But so far, most of the time i can see people are willing to give up their seat for pregnant lady or blind in my country.

In fact it is quite often for me to offer a seat to the people who are in need. So I give my seat not only for the pregnant woman, but also the elders, children and so on. It doesn't matter that I don't have a seat. After all, most of the time I sit in the office to work. So I shall do some exercises for the sake of my health. I love China

I'd give up my seat for a pregnant woman! Except the last few times a pregnant woman has gotten on the train, I've been without a seat to give up! So I'm standing too. lol I can give up my ideal standing spot but that's about it. I don't think it's a big deal to stand up on the train for me. I do it all the time anyway just cause there aren't any seats when I get on.

Yes most definitely. I quite often to five up my seat or share my seat with elderly women so this is no different to me. I would like to say silvery is not read, but. I'm afraid it is. When walking in general and a guy is in front of me walking towards the door. How is it wrong for me to expect that he would hold the door open for me? And if he does not, first I just thinks its rude and where is his manners? I've too often seen this happen where you would expect a supposedly gentlemen to give up their seat but doesn't until you have to say something. And i can be honest this is most seen in my generation among difference races. I'll at least make sure that I teach my future kids better.

Hello there... :) Well, you are not alone dude! 'Cause me too, I am so pissed off with those people who are not willing to give a sit for those pregnant women. I've seen many situations like this because I am riding MRT everyday in going to school. And what I am doing is whenever I have a seat and there are senior citizens, or pregnant women or some women with children,I offer them my seat happily. I mean, it's the least you can do in a day in doing good things to your fellowmen. Right?

Of course i will give up a seat. Not only for pregnant women but also to children, elderly and incapacitated persons. Here in my country giving up a seat for them is a sign of courtesy and respect. To those people who cant even give up a seat, maybe their to focused on themselves. Not sensitive enough if someone needs a reach out of help from them.

Having two children and knowing the discomfort of pregnancy yes I wld give up my seat. Your balance is off, your legs hurt, feet hurt, hips hurt, back hurts. Its just nice to give up your seat when your body isnt in pain for someone else pregnant, old or holding a child.

I always give up my seat not only for a pregnant woman but for any woman for that matter. I guess this is one of the few things I've been taught when I was a kid that to this day I still practice.

As any woman that has been pregnant before knows the discomfort you have to endure. Anything you can get to ease that feeling is usually a welcome sight. Giving upa seat to a pregnant woman is the kind and generous thing to do. i would give up my seat to a pregnant woman. It might just be what she needs to brighten her day.

If I'd be in this situation I would give up my seat for pregnant women, elderly and women with their infants/ toddlers. I always do that. I hate people who seem like they don't care. I've been in this situation a lot of times. I always give up my seat for them. I make it a habit to do something nice everyday and it makes me feel good. :)

Of course I shall let the pregnant or disable people to seat. This was taught all the while when I were in school. However, the society is totally different from what I were taught in school.\ If I let a pregnant people to sit my place, I am sure they will accept my offer, but she or the people around her might misunderstand me too. They never believe someone in the society nowadays will still be so gentleman to let the seat for her. They will look at you suspiciously but they still accept your offer. Honestly speaking, I did experience once in the electric train before. "Shall I be so gentleman again?", I were asking myself.
