Hi vishurckr...
I think so because we came into this world without having an internet so I think we will soon get used to it. But I'm sure the recovery would be very long. Because internet has contributed a lot to us like information, entertainment and earning money. When it will be gone, the only disadvantage I can see is -- we can save electricity.

Well if business and such still runs the old way then yes but unfortunately almost all businesses runs partly because of the internet.
There would be a cessation of basic services like ATMs, electricity and communication.
But people are really resilient so in a way i know they will manage. Its only the 1800 when people use electricity in there daily lives.

I think that we as a human race would survive but it would be a day never to be forgotton and it would go down in history! I think that we would quickly return to the dark ages! I personally have come to rely on the Internet now as I do everything via the Internet which includes shopping, banking as well as research and communicating with online friends. I just don't know what I would do if this great resource was lost forever!
I suppose there are some disadvantages and they could be the fact that some people spend most of their time on the Internet and so other life areas are sacrificed. There's probably the loss of physical social communication. I don't have to worry about this as I'm a singleton and I have been living by myself for many years and so I don't have any family ties and so forth.
I cannot remember the last time I went shopping via the high street! No, I just surf online now for everything I need whatever it may be. Life without the Internet would not be a life at all! Andrew
