I like to have flowers in the house to brighten up the house especially the colorful ones I don't prefer to buy flowers at the store though because they are expensive and they dn't last very long so having my own plants is better.
I don't have a lot of the sunny spot for the plants so I only can have that much at the front window. I have Primrose, African violet, a couple of menthol leaves plants, collus. I'm thinking about getting an orchid plant as well.
I am looking for some flower plants that can grow throughout the year and they can survive at night without the heat because my house gets pretty cold overnight pretty the fireplace in the winter.

I don´t know the names in English of my indoor plants but I know that many of the will not give flowers so I tried to pick them with different colors and shapes in the leaves. The only indoor plant that will give flowers(it is an outdoor plant in other parts of my country) is an azalea. I have a couple of small gumtrees. I´ll take them out when they grow more but they don´t if the container is small, a couple of different phylodendrum and other plants. I love them!

I have a very pretty snake plant now for 6 years it was like 3 inches when my boyfriend bought it for me and now it is about 18 inches tall. I also have a very nice bamboo I got about 3 years ago which was about 2 inches and now it is it is about 12 inches tall.
I have had my share of beautiful flowering plants but upon moving I had to give them away, because I live in a small apartment now.
Here is a picture of a very similar one I currently have at home. I plan on getting more plants at some point because our plans is to move and I would love to have more.

I have bamboo plants as well. I was collecting more and more plants from other people and finally I had to get rid of some of them because I didn't have a lot of place for the plants that need lots of sun.

It is quite long, looks like you can put the plant in a bigger pot, it might even grow more if you do so it has more room for the root, My mom has that plant as well.

Hi mermaidivy, I am unable to answer you because recently we have to remove all our plants due to certain reasons. We had rose, jasmine, hybiscus and even crotons. I was completely upset for 3 weeks. I have decided to get them back next month again from our nursery. I love plants and trees. Nice to hear you maintain them.

I love orchid flowers. I want to plant them indoor. However, they're quite worth here. So, I'm afraid that they would be stolen. So, I have not planted them now :d

Yea itis not cheap here either like 20 bucks a plant, sometimes itis cheaper but it is usually dying or no flowers on it. I don't think you can plant orchid outside, can you? So I don't think they will be stolen in the house, it is not that expensive comparing to the Tv or computer iof there is a robbery.

I really love plants in my pad i got a lot of cactus. I chose them because these plants really don't need much attention, specially I am a full time employee so I don't have much time to do it. also I am living alone. However, seeing my plants alive and some of them have already flowers It really helped me lessen my stress from work....I am collecting different kinds of cactus, now i got more that a dozen of them....and still counting

I unfortuantely do not have any plants in my home. I would love to have them, but my 3 year old likes to play in the dirt. I also have four dogs who eat them for some reason. They like to eat the leaves off like they are a salad or something which is really weird. The closest I get to plants is my hanging baskets I put out during the summer. They are really pretty, and love seeing them hanging off my back porch. I am defiantly not a green thumb, so it may be best that I am unable to have plants in the house because I would probably end up killing them anyway.

I have heard that it is normal for the dogs and cats to eat plants, their body tell them they need that or something, I guess it is like us eating vegetables Fortunately, my dog doesn't eat my indoor plants, he only eats the one at the backyard next to the pond in the summer.

I wish that i could have any kind of indoor plants. They just don't survive in my house. My four cats are just too curious for their own good. A plant is not a plant for long. It is soon something for felines to nibble on.

Do you mean just put the sweet potato in the water and it will grow more potatoes? I have heard that, I tried last year but it didn't grow, maybe it varies of different kinds of potatoes/sweet potatoes.
