What is your metaphor for life?

I saw a book at the store called Life is like a Bicycle. I thought, how could that be? But I didn't have time to read it.. so I thought what's my metaphor for life? The fastest one I thought of was, Life is like a merry-go-round - you spin around in the same circle but you still have fun with it. So what is your metaphor? If you don't have one, what comes to the top of your mind? Think of one as fast as you can, it can be as simple or as deep as you want.

wow I like that one, very concise but effective. People look for happiness in material, tangible goals but happiness is really what people make of everyday.

Life is a challenge but never give up. We go through many ups and downs in life. By pushing on I think it makes us all stronger.

Good one, if there is one word for life that would be a perfect one- a challenge.

Life's Lovely! Love & Live Life! Live & Let Live! One who hasn't love rarely finds life lovely. One who hasn't loved doesn't know the value of other's lives. One who hasn't loved hasn't live life fully. The above alliteration has been coined by yours truly.

Sashakiddo, what is my metaphor for life?? That is a difficult thing to answer just off of the top of my head, but I think that it would be to live mostly in the moment...I think, of course, we should plan for things, look forward to things, but Now is all we really have. When I try to think like that, it really helps me to treat others better and with care. It helps me to appreciate everything that I have and have been given. Does that make sense? I hope! Vaya con Dios, Acongojada

I think, not just for me, but for many people, that life is more like a roller coaster than anything else carnival related. Full of ups and downs, twists and turns. Sometimes it makes you sick, other times you laugh so hard your sides ache. You never know what its coming up and what the ride will throw at you. You need to be buckled in and prepared for the ride!

Quickly I can say live in the now and not leave anything for later. Tomorrow my friend is not promised and it may be too late to start then. So in general to live as happy, and peacefully as I possibly can.
