My girlfriend worried about getting drunk this evening

My girlfriend called me this morning ,telling me that she would take part in a party to celebrate his leader's birthday this evening,where she might have to drink beer to express happy birthday to her leader.She said that she was quite worried about getting drunk,though she didn't want to drink any alcohol.I said that it must be harmful to drink alcohol for girls ,especially on such occassions.So I told her to try to keep herself from getting drunk.But how can you avoid drinking too much when someone always requires you to drink,because in our wine culture drinking much means you repect the host.

Hi there,
There are certain parties that do include drinking as part of the celebration. I can only say that perhaps a drink and only sip on it as much as one can tolerate. If she feels that the parting may get out of hand and she cannot refuse, maybe it is best that she come up with a plan to assure she makes it home safe.
Hope she has fun at the party.

Well ,I have promised to receive her on the way back this evening,no matter she gets drunk or not .

hello,
You know that it is alright to drink, but not too much, If she is in a party excuse her self and said that it is very difficult to travel alone specially if she drunk too much. And if the leader require her to drink more do some action which make her excuse like e.g I will go to comfort room first like that etc.
