Yes, but not from the beginning. At first it was only macromedia flash. I think the last one was macromedia flash 8. After that adobe bought it from macromedia and they are doing fine with it. The same rule applies to Macromedia dreamweaver.

Yes Adobe owns Macromedia flash and it is one of their best software's that they have created through which 2d animation has become easier.

Yes Adobe own Macromedia Flash. I use it as part of Adobe Master Collection CS5, its good program as other Adobe products. They have lots of product, but most of all I use the most Photoshop and Dreamwaver.

Yes, Adobe owns Macromedia Flash. Check out the site below. I think this has the answers to your question. It says that Adobe bought Macromedia first because they were scared that Microsoft would get it first. Adobe's main competitor, which is Microsoft, weren't able to get hold of Macromedia.
