Dear all, I have a question as to what will be the decision taken if the following two situations happen on a cricket field. As to my knowledge, it has never happened. But what if it happens?????????? HUH...!!!! SITUATION 1 A batsman hits the ball bowled to him in the air. The ball hits the Umpire and lobs up in the air for a catch. A fielder takes it. What will be decision. Will the batsman be given out?? Or will it be called a dead ball? Or is there any other way to handle this?? SITUATION 2 A chasing team needs one run to win of the last ball with one wicket remaining. But the batsman jumps out, the bowler bowls it down the leg side, The batsman gets stumped. The Umpire calls the ball a wide. Now what will happen here?? Does the match end up in a tie, Or does the chasing team win??? So can any one tell me what the correct decisions will be???
