Will I keep them?

I have a number of friends in mylot friend lists and some of them have not even posted a single discussion in mylot. I'm not sure what to do with those friends. Should i clean up my friend list by deleting those who are inactive or should i just leave them be as they are doing no harm to my list anyway.
I realized today that among my many mylot list of friends, i have only exchange discussions with a few and keep in touch with only two or three of them. I want to get to know my friends better and when i think of this, I see the need of deleting some of those who are inactive. But then i wonder, when they come back here in mylot like other members do will they ever find out that they no longer exist on my list?

That list will not harm you in any way. Leave it be. You can also ignore friends' requests so that your list does not become unmanageable. Actually there is nothing to manage really. If you do it alphabetically you can easily access those friends who you want to keep in touch with.

To be very honest, I don't come here very much cause writing isn't exactly my hobby. Ive added a few people Ive never talked to, which isn't really how I do my things. But think about it what if you delete them and later on they become important here? Even on facebook I have friends that I dont talk to, its doesnt mean I have to delete them. You should probably know that the numbers of friends you have shows how active you are and also how many people care that you are here. You should be happy you have those friends even if they are not important. NO they will not know if you remove them. They arent active users which means they dont know too much about what happens on mylot. I know cause Im one of those people thats comes on every few months

I would just keep the friends. Unless you use your friends list for sending like messages I wouldn't even bother. I have friends that have probably left the site but have never talked to them and have no clue if they've even posted. That's how often I look at that list.

I wouldn't remove anyone from my friends list unless they had single digit posts from many weeks. Once i add them i don't feel like removing, and the ones with higher posts, i am certainly not going to remove them because we can never say if they would show up someday. So clean up your friends with the zero posters and similar ones but it is best if you don't delete someone with considerable number of posts but inactive for a few weeks.

I also have a few friends on mylist who haven't posted anything yet and I sincerely doubt they will;I don't know why they bothered to request my friendship since they didn't intend to be active in the site, and I think I will ebventually delete them from my list, but I will still wait for a couple of months in case at least one of them decides to get involved in the site.Anyway,I think that if you delete those inacttive friends from your list and by some chance some return to mylot they will not remember who was in their list,so I'm sure they won't notice the fact that they were deleted from your list.

Hi toni
If I remember correct you did this clean up once before too. And now a few more went non-responsive. It happens dear. Those who close their accounts automatically get removed. But the others, I think they can remain as they dont put a burden on anyone except some diskspace.
And you are quite right - when they come back here in mylot like other members do will they ever find out that they no longer exist on my list - No. They wont. The only thing that will happen is that your dicussions will not show up on their "Friends Started Discussions" and if they dont see any of your discussions around, they may even assume, you account is closed. And if they saw, they might feel bad that they were removed from the Friends list. (Of course not many will remember because if they did they would not have gone away without informing)

Same with me, some of my friends on my list are inactive, but I don't bother to clean it up. Because I've once been an inactive member of this site, and thanks to you and some other friends who welcomed me back here warmly. So I would recommend that they'd be left on your list as they don't even have some burdens on your part. And they might even get in touch with you soon, we never know. People come and go. :)
