make a simple test. first of all, you should check the cable data from PC to monitor. both of it must be plug in perfectly. if its done and still blackout, try with another PC who can display the monitor. if still blackout, probably the monitor is broken. if not blackout, probably the video card is broken. :)

This happened to my desk top computer a few years back. It could possibly be the video card in your computer is bad. I would have it checked though, because it could just be a bad cable, and a cable is a lot less expensive then a video card. Every computer is different also, and requires a different video card so if you do need one, the specialist will be able to tell you which one that you need. The computer I had wasn't able to be fixed, because it really wasn't a name brand computer, and the video card was glued to the motherboard so it wasn't able to be removed. Hope that helps.

hi there, if you have check the cable already in the back of your computer, try this one, unplug the cable from your pc and plug it into another computer is possible that the video card got damage, if the monitor works perfect after you connect it to another computer , then you have to check the video card or even worse if the m other board has the video card attach its gonna be little bit expensive,
try another open the computer of course disconnected from ac power if the video card its attache to the motherboard, remove it, try some cleaning around and put it back in to the mother board do the same with hard drive, memory, and tie all the connectors might be loosen, i hope this can help you.
