Anyone a fan of Nodame Cantabile?

I'm really in love with this anime series and was so sad it had to end on its 3rd season. But I was made happy recently by the knowledge that the author of the manga made a sequel, called Opera Hen. I'm reading it on MangaFox but only the first 6 chapters were scanlated. :'( Is anyone here as excited about this as I am? Maybe we could start a NodaCan fan discussion here.

I love Nodame!! Its live action is one of the best adaptation, and I enjoyed the story very much. It actually made me appreciate classical music. I already finished the manga. Chiaki and Nodame are so cute :D

It made me appreciate classical music too! And made me want to learn piano! xD You're right, the adaptation was so good. They really did well casting all the characters, except Stresseman (IMO). I kind of hated stresseman's character, even though I liked him in the anime. hahaha

I love this too- since I love classical music and Nodame is so cute too. I only watched the tv series and movies, they were so fun and I love all the other characters too- the violinists, pianists, etc.

Hi happycaprice!!!! So this is probably why your avatar is Ueno Juri?^^ I did not watch the Nodame Cantabile anime but I did watch the live action movies and special.^^ I really love the story and I think the actors portrayed their roles properly! The movies really made me laugh and I think the story is so sweet! I like many of the characters although I can't remember their names now because I have watched this a long time ago. I like Eita's character.^^ Maybe now that the author has made a sequel, I can expect for another live action movie of this anime! I have been waiting for a sequel of the movie to no avail. So I wish, along with the sequel for the manga is a sequel too for the live action movie. Or maybe an SP.^^

Yup, I've watched the two movies already. I only watched them in streaming sites back then. I wasn't aware of downloading thru torrent yet and I didn't want to direct download because it always gets interrupted. I know what you mean! We can't get enough so it feels like "bitin". Good movies are always like that.^^

hello secretbear! yeah, I loved Ueno as Nodame! And I really loved the movies as well. I don't know which one I like better: the manga, the anime or the movie! haha Did you already watch the two movies? They're amazing! And yes, I would also love for another SP of Nodame Cantabile, based on the Opera-Hen. It was a little "bitin" though, but I really enjoyed reading about Nodame and Chiaki, and Tanya and Kuroki and the other members! This story was like a grand reunion for the Japanese characters. n____n

Its live action version is aired in my country, I remember its about a girl pianist who is clumsy and messy. Its very funny but its not finished in my country, i think its cancelled due to low ratings. Its a very light drama comedy. correct me if I am wrong at first the guy is disgusted with her because she doesnt take a bath... I remember the guy who is her love interest is very prim and proper an opposite of her, but he believes in her talent..

hello! there is a live action of this, and it was aired in my country (GMA). i was really mad at them for ruining this series! you are correct, that's the comedy aspect of the series. It was really funny when he cleaned the girl's room and made her take a bath! xD Despite the girl being unhygienic, he fell in love with her because of her talent and character. Ahh..it brings back good memories.

You should definitely try and watch it! It's a slice-of-life type of anime, but very funny. Nodame Cantabile is about a pianist who wants to be a conductor, but has been disenchanted with music. He meets Nodame, who gives him a new hope for music, and he eventually pursues his dreams. The show presents different types of classical music, operas, orchestras, and even if you're not a fan of classical music, you would appreciate it. I've been converted to loving classical by this show myself. This manga series has been awarded many times in Japan. It wouldn't be awarded if it wasn't good, now would it? I really do hope you watch it! :D

I love the Nodame Cantabile series. It is one of the best comedy love story for me. I like the story and the characters. I also learned a lot about classical music because of this. I hope there will be another season for Nodame Cantabile.

I really enjoyed watching the drama series of Nodame Cantabile. I thought at first that it is another boring story but then I was wrong. As the story goes along, I found it entertaining and I I'm also learning not just Japanese language but also about music. I really love the "Onara Taisou" or the Fart Song of Noda. Just recently, we had a Japanese Culminating Activity last October 8 in our school and my group mates presented the Fart Song with matching sing and dance. :))
