A few weeks ago, as I was strolling around the city, I found this stall that sells pirated DVDs and I decided to take a look at it. Most of it were new movies and some of them have not even come out yet. It's even cheap. I was thinking about buying a DVD from there but I hesitated because I wanted to watch it in theaters. This has been going in my mind ever since. Do you love watching new blockbusters at the cinemas or will you love to wait for an original DVD to come out? I need your opinion.

Actually most of the time i will wait until the HD version come out i will not waste my money on every promoted films, but i never buy those pirate editions,i like watching funny movies with friends, but emotional films alone .while sometimes it depends,if you have a date or expecting a moive acted by some stars you favorite theater must be a good choice.in the end,i must will choose cinema when it comes to the three-D movies like avatar ,the transformers ,inception and so on as if you are personnally on the scene,it's cool...

Hello della! Those movies you've mentioned, I watched it all in the cinema! Sometimes I watch emotional films with my friends though. We usually try and laugh at ourselves whenever one of us is already crying. And I really love the HD version, but it's expensive, like BluRay. However, it could be a great experience whenever you are in the mood. Thank you!

Hello JmRawr and TanSerena! DVDs are really way cheaper than watching at the cinemas! And I'm okay with pirated DVDs, the only thing that is wrong with them is the quality! It's really bad sometimes. Anyway, thank you!

When a film first comes out I ike to see it on the big screen. after that i don't mind watching the fims I enjoy on dvd. Sooner or later everything seems to come to dvd,. It still is a thrll in the cinema world though.

We are just the same. It is really thrilling to watch a good movie in the theaters these days. It could give you that wonderful theatrical experience, especially when you are watching it in 3D or in the Red Carpet(where sofas are used).

man purated dvd is not the thing that we should be using at all as thisis the harmful content not just for your DVD but also for the socuety at large and it should not be used and banned for always. i have seen in china many pirated dvd were crushed and dumped to save for the movie industry and also to make things better for them

I agree, but I'm not really an avid fan of pirated DVDs. It just came to my mind that time when I was searching for a DVD in the stall. It may be cheap but pirated DVDs are really not helpful in terms of the producer or the makers. Thanks!

Well, I prefer DVD. We can just spend one time, own the movie and watch it anytime we want!

Hello, good to hear from you again! I really have to agree with you, DVDs are way cheaper and it's really convenient because it's kind of 'recyclable'. Haha.

I love both watching films in the theaters and on DVD. But most of the time, I tend to just wait for the DVD. I sometimes find it expensive when watching the film in cinemas. I only do so when I really want to see that particular movie. Otherwise, I just wait for it to come out on DVD or wait for it to come on HBO. Even if the DVD costs more than the theater ticket, at least I have the comfort of watching it whenever I want, over and over again. On another note, I wait for the original DVD to come out. I don't buy pirated ones because I don't like the quality and I want to support the people who make movies.

We both actually have the same thought! Whenever some kind of movie that really attracts me is nudging me to watch it, I would go to the cinema with my friends and watch! I don't really buy pirated ones though, I guess I have 3 or 4 of them. Anyway, thank you!

Its is sad that handwork of many people who worked behind one Movie is getting sold out on the footpaths. I am sure that this is with the knowledge of police and authorities. No one stops it. Now a days theaters are getting closed and they are opting the hall for some other functions. Most of the time i prefer to watch in theater or if I miss it , then I wait for Original print to get released.

That is why I really love the cinema sometimes, regardless the price. I'd rather watch DVDs sometimes though, especially if the movie is really epic. I really love it.

there are movies that we think are better to watch in the cinemas or big screen so what me and my boyfriend does is that we save our salary for it. BUt then, most of the time movie reviews are not nice so to save money and save time what we do is just buy pirated dvd :)

Hi there, I would watch the movie in theatres as well as buy a DVD. But i am strictly against pirated DVDs. Because of piracy, hard-working people don't earn what they are supposed to. I go to movie theatres at least twice in a month. If i miss any movie then i wait for it's DVD to come out or sometimes watch it on Paid-TV. There are so many copies of Fast and Furious 5 floating online but i am going to the theatres to watch it in Tuesday!

Personaly, I prefer watching DVDs. It's relatively cheaper (especially the pirated ones, if you're not very picky with the quality). You can enjoy the movie in the privacy of your own room. If you really liked the movie, you can watch it many times without paying for it again. If you don't like it, all you have to do is push the off buton in your remote.

I like to wait for the original DVDs most of the time. Watching in theaters is expensive, but if it's a movie that I really really can't wait to watch, then I collect all my money and watch it in the theater. :D The pitfall of being in a theatre is, I'm too shy to react the way I wanted to! haha It's much easier and more fun to watch a movie in the comfort of my own home.
