When I saw The Mist, and saw it's ending, I thought that no movie would ever top it for the worst ending ever....well, it's happened! Last night I watched Buried, with Ryan Reynolds, and O-M-G. That movie has THE WORST ending I have ever seen, even worse than The Mist!! (Zone, can you believe it!?!? haha). I was so upset after seeing the ending. I thought the movie was good, and during the last couple minutes I thought it was gonna have an awesome, intense ending. If they had ended it the way I thought they were going to, it would have been a really good movie. Now I want to push the guy who made it down a hill! lol Has anyone seen this movie? What did you think about the ending?

Oh believe it!!!! lol We've talked about Buried before? Sorry I have a horrible memory and I don't remember that talk! lol. Yeah I never wished bodily harm to the guy who made The Mist...I will forever hold a grudge against the guy who decided to end Buried like that!!! lol

I've been thinking about it, and I think one reason I hated the Buried ending so bad is because of the way it made me feel leading up to it. I literally felt like I wanted to throw up (maybe because I'm claustrophobic to begin with) lol.

We briefly talked about Buried before. I think you mentioned it and wanted to see it because it had Ryan Reynolds in it. It was one that looked very good when I looked it up it appealed to me. Well I managed to get Buried today and a few others but things did not go to plan and I did not get to watch it :( I will be back, Watch this space..... I never thought of you as a violent person but holding a grudge I can live with

Actually, I thought the twist at the end was humorous. Actually I kind of like the ending because if it ended any other way then it would have been more fake. The ending was realistic based on the circumstances given in the movie. I do agree with you about the ending in The Mist. That ending was indeed disappointing.

Humorous!? Oh my gosh! That is the last word I would have used to describe Buried's ending! I didn't think it would have been unrealistic for him to be rescued. It happens. And even if it weren't, movies are meant to get away from realistic! I like happy endings, and him getting rescued would be great in my book! lol The ending for The Mist novella is slightly less disappoiting than the movies ending, but it's still not really "happy" it's just open to interpretation.

Yeah the guy on the phone I know people are trained for that type of thing but, I did not really trust him all along, if it were me buried like that and I was talking to that guy, I would kind of know that I have had it. I just know that I will never forget the name Mark White after watching the movie.

I didn't want to get into too much detail but it is the only way to explain. I thought the guy on the other end of the phone was humorous because he was bull sh_tting the main character all along. He claimed earlier that he had saved another guy but in the end he was digging up that same guys grave that he claimed he had saved earlier. You see the the guy on the other end of the phone had never saved anyone before and was lying the whole time just getting the main character's hopes up. I not sure if you caught this twist or not. I too was kinda hoping he got saved but I appreciated this twist.

I read your post from email alerts and I thought...hmmm, I will have to watch The Mist again because I forget the ending. I remember the movie being far fetched and ridiculous but I lack details. So I go to your discussion and after reading the first response, I know I don't have to watch the movie at all because there is the worst spoiler I have ever seen. LOL.

Well, if you're gonna be that way then saying "The Mist" was "far fetched" was giving it waaaay too much credit....lol. I s'pose it was OK as a B grade movie....hehheh. I've never heard of Cloverfield. I'm suddenly feeling how incomplete my life actually is....oh woe is me.

Oh I wasn't disagreeing with you and defending the Mist! lol. I didn't think it was that good either, I was just saying far fecthed isn't my reason for hating it. I thought the graphics were bad and the ending of course sucked. Oh Cloverfield is really good, you should give it a look if you get a chance!!!

I saw The Mist - hated it.. I vaguely remember seeing a movie trailer or something about Buried but never saw it. Now I'm glad I didn't. I looked it up on Netflix and the reviews are either love it or hate it. I got so curious about the ending, I had to look it up online. I'm with you. I would have been totally disappointed had I wasted my time watching the whole movie. Thanks for the warning!

Watching the ending would be a million times worse than reading about it! lol. It's just so fast paced and it gets your heart racing and gets your hopes up...I defintiely think they should have changed the ending. I really enjoyed the movie, I would say love except the ending ruined it for me. If they had ended it the right way I would have been one of the "loved it" reviews.

I also saw this movie (Buried), and was also disappointed with the ending. I understand that with this ending it makes for a more surprising ending, but seeing it end that way, it just makes the movie look like a low-budget film. Yes there were a handful other extras, but the main character was just like one actor, in just one small area.

Haven't seen it so I'll take your word for it and avoid it in future. The Mist, yes I did see that. Strange, I can't remember the ending - must have fallen asleep. The beginning and middle parts were just so boring. Give a director a smoke machine for Christmas and that's what you get!

The ending of The Mist is when the guy shoots eveyone else in the car (including hsi son) about a minute before the miliatry shows up to kill all the creatures and save the day. Buried was goond until the movie. I was actually impressed how they could make a movie that literally takes place in a box, and keep my interest for over an hour. I tell you, different ending and I would have really enjoyed it.
