I called them because 3 people told me to. Other than that I should have a full body scan, they mostly wanted to know my insurance and address to send me info.
My Drs here don't want the full body scan, they say they know where cancer goes after the bladder.
Have not received the information packet from the centers. Our nearest one is in Philidelphia, Penn.
No one from here seems to have gone to one. One person wanted to, but her insurance wouldn't pay for it. Another person, her husband had wanted to, but they didn't have a limphoma Dr. on staff at them time and that's what her husband had.
You see the commercials all the time. People want me to go because I'm into holistic health and they seem to be into that. Also all this driving back and forth all the time is going to get really old fast. Esp. if I do chemo. Anestesia makes me nausious. Not sure about this other stuff.
So has anyone gone to or know anyone who has gone to the CTC of A? Their literature isn't here yet. Other than what the commercials say, have you heard anything about them?

I'm in India. So, I haven't heard of CTC of A.
But presently, my husband is doing research on cancer (he is a pharmacologist) and just yesterday he spoke to me about how a change in diet can help people with cancer. He says there are certain food which contain....mmm (I forget what name he said) which helps in cancer treatment...and a total change of diet to include only those food will help a patient...no surgery.

I will. And I will then send you a PM. My husband's been explaining some stuff to me...but it flies above my head. I'll try to jot down the stuff and send a mail or better still....if he is fine with it, you can exchange emails with him...he would be better able to explain the technical aspect of it which you can then look up or discuss with your doctor there.
I spoke to him about this discussion and that you are in the US. My husband said that the food he is talking about is easily available there.

Hi writersedge
I can only imagine all the research you have been doing and it probably is all so overwhelming. I checked online and see where you can do a simple search to see if your insurance is covered. You can check here:

Outside of the warm and assuring commercials I personally do not have any additional information. It does convey to me to be a caring center.
Try as hard as you can to continue the positive thinking my friend, because of CTC of A is where you need to be, there has to be a way to get you there. The hospital commercial conveys; The entire place breaths of hope.

I will have to check it out. The paperwork hasn't arrived yet, so either the mail is slow or they figured out they don't want my insurance and haven't sent it.

Did you try getting the information on the internet. You could probably read up on them. Call your insurance company and ask them if they cover it they will tell you. I had cancer and I know what you are going through. God Bless you and I will pray for you.

Thank you for praying for me. I'll have to check into it more. I was just hoping someone had at least been to one and could tell me their experience.
