Comparing Learning to Product manufacturing

Someone told me that we can make people standard products if we follow a step-by-step process. what I mean is that someone argues that all the people - regardless of their educational level, marital status, age, etc - can be taught a language following a standard method, a series of easy steps and an educational plan. I disagree and say that not two classes are going to be equal and that people learn in different ways and that two classes would have a different pace and the products would be very different. If I follow a method, sticking to it the best I can, will two people achieve the same profficiency? Will they get the same level of acquisition, regardless of all their intrinsic differences? What do you think?
