I have seen on tv a couple (American and Filipina) who are happily married in the US. They have a very comfortable there with one daughter since the man is the Vice Pres. of a bank. But after seeing the situation of the students in a public school in the province of Saranggani in the Philippines- they were deeply touched and decided to help all of them. They sold all of their properties in the US and went to live in that province. They gave hundreds of student food to eat, a ride to and from school, everything the student need. They were like a big , really big happy family. I really admire the couple that they are willing to help the people, and not even asking for anything else in return even though they weren't related to them at all. There truly are angels on earth.

Yes, I loved how every one of them really contributed something- the parents cooked for the children, and the couple gave them what they needed and even taught in class sometimes. The school was just blessed to have the family.

I also watched that on a tv program here in the Pilippines, I think that was in "Rated K". I was touched with the couple's devotion with each other and how they set aside their own life and the need of material things just to pursue their advocacy which is mainly to help poor people. It such an inspiration and I truly believe that they have found their true happiness in life. Happy Lotting!

Yes it was Rated K, I saw the replay last Thursday. There is nothing more rewarding than helping the kids fulfill their dreams. They are really like their second parents. I hope they served as inspiration to all too- especially those politicians who are greedy.

Hey jojo732, Yes, they truly are angels here on earth... it would be nice if they would serve as an inspiration to those who really want to help the poor, since that is the only thing they want- that what they do would be continued by otehr when they are gone..

Hi lady1993 I was watching a programme yesterday about three young guys, who talk to people on the streets, and they ask these people if there is anything they need? these three young men then contact different busineses and ask them if they can let them have whatever the person ask for for free(obviously it's not great big things that people ask for) they say many companies give them whayever they ask for at no cost, they then give the item to the person for free.. They are like angels, because they are helping others and they do not expect anything in return.. jojo732

hello, Wow! they are so nice and a real angel on earth! I am amaze of what they have done, I am hoping that their are still lot of people in the world who could help other people too especially if they have more than in their lives, i am happy about your story because it is really touching because the couple never think that they will lose everything that all of their help will not be returned to them,

yes, I was so amazed when i first heard about this too... I could not believe how nice and dedicated people can be- even a foreigner would really love to help the countrymen of his wife. I hope more people, would help the poor.

I am from the Philippines. I appreciate what the couple are doing for my poor countrymen. Too bad there are lawless elements in Southern Mindanao (where Sarangani is located), like the Abu Sayyaf who kidnap foreigners, including priests, for ransom. I hope the couple would be safe and protected by the people who love them. They're angels, really. God bless them all.

Oh, I forgot about those- the Abu Sayaf- they never really said anything about that though, they weren't harmed or anything, they've been staying there since 2006. I sure hope nothing bad ever happens from them and the kids.

The amazing thing about helping other people is it is a reward in itself, even if nothing is received in return. I love helping people, it is the best feeling in the world!

I love helping people too. Yes, the best reward to helping people is seeing that you have made them happy and that they are very grateful..it gives people a warm feeling. It's better t give than to receive.
