how do i make referrals?

i wanted to have more earnings and it says here that referrals can help you add on your profit.. the thing is, i'm having a hard time to know how i can make referrals to other people.. can somebody please help me?.. thank you! :)

There are lots of ways to gain more referrals:
1. Use the banners of the sites you joined and place it in your blog, profiles and even your myLot profile.
2. Write something good about them in your blog. This way people will have their hopes high.
3. Invite friends in Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr or other social networking sites.
4. The power of mouth - share it with your families and friends.
5. Send invitations to your email contacts but do not spam!

you can try downline builder site which i mostly like as i have got many referrals from those site
also creating a blog and then promoting it in place where people are looking for site for earning online would help to get lots of referrals
then would come social networking site but there not all of our friends are interested in earning online but you can promote your blog there which is good too
