Im planning to buy a mini laptop or netbook. Im so confused which one to buy. I just need it to connect to the internet and to submit articles. Can you teach me how to find a good one? What brand offers cheap but quality efficient laptop or netbooks?

I feel laptop is better than netbooks which need a separate cd player for uploading of software. Also they are so light that if they fall down they might easily break. I recommend Toshiba Satellite. Although its battery life is of only 1 year and 3 months it does a great job than most laptops and also its affordable. It can go for hours without any problem because it has dual-core processor now.

Well I dont know much about mini laptops accept they have limited hard drives space and cost around $299 to $399 dollars at walmart and Amazon
I got a fully loaded laptop for UNDER $200 on ebay it works great it burns CD and I can even watch DVDs on it also came with a wireless connect card
But if your determined to buy a mini I recommend checking reviews on various sites like Amazon they have lots of reviews on mini laptops, you could also check youtube for product reviews just type in the name of the mini laptop your interested in you'll be surpised how many helpful product reviews that are uploaded on youtube, that site really helped me maybe the site could help you too.

Hi chocokreme,
I recommend Asus EEE PC 1015PEM. The update is that the device is equipped with a more preforment and responsive to multitasking processor from Intel namely the Atom dual core N550. Encased in a smooth matte finished the netbook is available in black, blue, white and red colors.1GB DDR3 RAM model(can be extended to 2GB. This is one of the best mini laptops is that the model runs efficiently performing most of the required computational tasks, conserves enough power to run for about 13 hours on a single charge, achieves fast data transfer speed with the latest Bluetooth v3.0 technology. Moreover, the device has 250GB hard disk with an additional 500GB of Asus Web storage, a 0.3MP webcam fitted with security lens, 802.11 wireless connections and is extremely light – weighing only 2.76 pounds.

Now a days netbooks are using new technologies like SSDs(Solid State Drives). SSDs are jerk proof, they are not like regular hard disks with spinning disk inside them. they are make of Flash memory (I m not sure) but you can use netbooks with SSD while moving for traveling. apart from this they have less hardware and power efficient processors specially designed for netbooks which is good for longer battery life. Normally netbooks have higher battery like in comparison to notebooks (Laptops).
So in my opinion you should go for a netbook as per your requirement you have mentioned in you discussion. Selection of brand depends on your own choice because every brand has its different reputation in different locations. It all depends on how well they are giving after sale support.
