most of us are probably been taking supplemental vitamins ever since we were young.. however, i am confused as to when is the proper time to take my vitamins for a more proper absorption for it to be really used by my body..
some say, vitamins should be taken on the evening because the cells use the vitamins during our sleep and their cell regeneration during the night..
while other say that vitamins should be taken during the day so that the cells can make use of the vitamins we took for the day's activities.. so now i'm thinking, which is which?.. ;)

The best time of day to take vitamins is most likely when it is most convenient for you. Set up a habit time so that you remember to take your vitamins every day. Read the labels of your vitamins. A lot of vitamins need to be taken in divided doses. If that is the case, increase your vitamin doses throughout the day. Generally vitamins can be taken with food so before or after a meal is fine. Again, make sure you read the label on the vitamin bottle. It should tell you if the supplement needs to be taken on an empty stomach.

For me, it actually depends on what the doctor says. If the doctor says, take it at night, i would do it - but i never asked why, i just follow the advise. If there's no specific advise, i would always take vitamins at night so that i would have a good night sleep.

According to our family doctor, vitamin c can be taken in the morning and the multivitamin is any time of the day but it is best in the morning either.

It is my understanding from my doctor that if vitamins are not taken with food than they get mostly eaten up by the acids in your stomach. Most vitamins need food to help absorb the nutritional value of them. Unless the medication says to take it on an empty stomach, I would avoid doing so. Not to mention it makes sick to my stomach anyway.

In my own opinion I think taking vitamins is best in the morning so that it would be utilize instead of it being stored. But that depends on the vitamin you are taking like if it's a water soluble vitamin or a fat soluble vitamin. water soluble vitamins are vitamin c and vitamin b's, fat soluble are vitamin a,d,e,and k. if it's a water soluble then it's easily discarded by our body so we usually need more of these compared to the fat soluble one which are easily stored but are not usually abundant in the foods we eat which is why we frequently need them. So having these facts in mind you can decide for yourself. Hope this helps
