everyday, we encounter stressful situations.. may it be inside our own homes, at work, or anywhere else.. it can come even in the most unexpected time when we least expect it.. it is now up to us on we handle ourselves in such stressful events..
whenever i feel stressed, i usually divert my attention to something that is good.. i use imagery such as thinking of the beach and its breeze.. i go to other people and talk about happy stuffs.. i think that those things radiate positivity thus i am able to absorb it.. what about you? what do you do when you are feeling stressed?..

When i am in a stressful situation, i would stop what i am doing. I would then sit up straight and close my eyes. Then, after 5 minutes i would pray and ask for God's help and guidance. Then, i would go back to work and put on some music and think positively.

that's a very nice thing to do.. sometimes, if we are into a stressful situation that it seems we don't know a way out, we just take a time out and talk to God and we feel enlightened.. :)

well it has happened with me before and i too used to escape in fantasy land.It has never helped me though apart from feeling bit a mentally fresh once again.
You have to face your problems and then keep everything under your control.Basically dont let problematic situation grow bigger and bigger.Finish it there only.

When I feel stress, I will usually listen to the radio when I am driving. If I am at home, I'll just watch a DVD movie that I enjoy watching, even though I have watched it many times already. At least, it helps to get my mind off from thinking too much.
I think the best thing to do when feeling stressed is to take a walk in the park and see the beautiful nature around us. I haven't done that yet, maybe I should. I think I might put this into practice.

It is often said that life is what you make it, and there is some truth in this when it comes to dealing with stressful events. The way we respond to life's ups and downs depends very much on personality and experience, but everyone can learn to respond more successfully to challenging and difficult circumstances.

I listen to music or I talk to my boyfriend! :) But recently, I've found that watching fishes swim in the aquarium can really relieve your stress. :) Taking a walk can also help.

i guess watching fishes swim in the aquarium has some kind of therapeutic effect since that is also done by people having insomnia for them to sleep better.. :)

I hate stressful situations, they really bug me! I did suffer from stress in the past and I had to give up my job as a result of this. Thankfully I'm not suffering from stress now but if I had to come up with an answer on the best course of action to take then I would have to say that it's a good idea to get out of that situation as quickly as possible. Some time out is very important and gives you the opportunity to do some serious thinking.
I'm not someone that handles stress well! I do a few things now that help me to remain relaxed and regular cycling is one of those activities, I gain so much pleasure and freedom from this exercise alone! I also enjoy reading positive thinking books, there are so many out there that it's very easy to become lost in the middle of all that advice. Anyway, I would like to think that my days of stress are finally over never to be experienced again. Andrew

hello,
Yes, that is true sometimes the stress in unexpected, then you are not prepared for it that is why we stress. But like you I also talk to other people who talk about funny stuffs because yes we can absorb it and it really make us feel better. And also I do is relax and think some other way how to solve problem which is not stressful like I watch some funny and jokes in televisions. It really make me laugh and relax at the same time.

in stressful siturations i remain calm as much as i could coz if i allow myself to get affected by it, surely stress will win over me. So i remain calm to help me focus and give me the opportunity to lessen the stress around me. and eventually the stress will just fade away...
