I just watched a video about a teen who faked her pregnancy as a social experiment. She wanted to see how she would be treated. She was is a straight A student. Only her mother and boyfriend knew she was faking her pregnancy. When I first saw the title I thought she was faking to get benefits like welfare or free stuff from people.

I have seen that video too, it must have been a big shock to everyone who didn't know about it. But it was a good experiment of hers, and it could help those real pregnant teens, since she said she'd submit to some ngo or something..

Yes there were some people that were upset that she wasn't pregnant. You'd think they'd be happy.

Well, it is quite understandable, since people don't like being deceived or lied to..if it were me, maybe I would feel angry at her at first, but then be glad about her not really having a baby. I hope her life becomes normal again..

That's understandable. Being lied to isn't cool. Maybe they were mad because they bought her gifts .

I just watched the video and have mixed emotions over the study. Everyone deserves to be treated with compassion when they go through a huge challenge, but also the message that teen pregnancy is not ok needs to be clear. Maybe I am missing something.

I don't know what she expected to find out. Was she expecting for people to really be happy for her to be a pregnant teen?

Sometimes I think there are people that do that just to seek attention. At least she was not seeking Benefits or anything. But to be a Straight A student and try something like this, she must not have had many friends and reaching out? I wonder what people thought when they found out she was faking? Back in the day my sister had a friend who was pregnant and no one knew she was, including her, so I guess faking it is better than not knowing.

That is a pretty cool experiment... I would wonder what people would actually think of a teenager trying to go to school who has gotten pregnant. I would definitely like to see that and what happens and the reactions she gets! Thanks, Zelo

Here's the video http://news.yahoo.com/video/us-15749625/teen-s-fake-pregnancy-fools-school-24993410 I had posted it in the original discussion I had to go back and add it because I realized I didn't add it before but then the post got deleted because they said it was a duplicate post. I wish they had an edit feature.
