do you really want to live simple?

It would be better for us to live simple...for us to follow our faith in work and everything that makes us real happy. Simplicity is the only way we can understand fully ourselves. The way how we handle our problems in life, the way we control our emotions for goodness.

Hi Chiyosan, Well I dont like to be so luxurious but want to uplift the position with my earnings. I dont like to be famous but really like to be little simple as well.

yes, a simple life is a blessed life, and i choose a simple life. putting so much effort to uplift one's self in the eyes of many will usually bring out frustration and desperation when things did not go so well or according to expectations. my children are achievers and had/have placed themselves in a position where they became known at least in their school/university and even in the neighborhood. i believe that as parents we were very supportive and had partly honed their skills, intelligence and talents. that is not because we wanted to become popular. we wanted our children to realize their potential and their uniqueness and not because of selfish reasons of being known. my son told me that when he was little he had always wanted to take the challenges to please me or his father but upon reaching college, the motivation is to conquer/challenge self, not anybody.

Hi Chiyosan, I want to live a simple life, but that does not mean it cannot be luxurious. I just do not like to go out much, so in term of living a simple life, it means less social gatherings. I do not like to go for those birthdays, or some other social functions if I can avoid it. I think it is a waste of time buying present, exchange present or whatever. In term of having possessions, the less is better. More possessions means more time on housekeeping, so the less I have, the less I have to do. But when it comes to food, and holiday, I like to eat well, and travel in comfort. No point going to a destination, and live in a motel room infested with bedbugs and cockroaches.

I want to live a life where I can do whatever I want and it is absolutely a very simple life of me. But others can't accept my simple life because they want me to be like them struggling and do exactly like what they always do. They can't accept the way I live. I don't want to live a life like them. I will prove it to them that I am not running away from my responsibility but I can be better than others with my own way without neglecting them in my life.

hello chiyosan! I see myself as being famous in my area for living a life of simplicity! I want to live a comfortable life. Nothing luxurious like a fancy car or house. I am content with reading, and my biggest luxury must be the internet connection! :)

there is no such thing as living simply. I don't understand that, there's always going to be drama or something regardless where richness or poorness is concerned. Live as drama free as much as possible, that's living simply.

Hope so , i never had any idea of living rich by making hard works , i would like to live poor by simple works.
