What is the best coding language for Windows 7?

What is your opinion on the best coding language for Windows 7 to make programs. I am just now starting to really dive into this whole "coding" process. It would help with any response. Also, any book recommendations for how to start with said language would be nice.

I don't think there is anything like the best or good programming language for an operating system. Just start with the one you are good at and is comfortable with. All that matters is you are good at whatever programming language you choose to work at. So choose one you are thorough with.
