Political Party

Basically, left means communism and right means fascism in their extreme forms. Of course such extremes don't exist in the real world. So left and right are actually quite meaningless in most countries. The USA has republicans and democrats which are both center parties. The UK has Labour party which is just left of center, Conservative party which is to the right, and the other parties aren't sure themselves! The difference is minimal, so they are all center parties! Most of the world is the same - just under different names.
