How much do you know about "guanxi"?

hey, guys here.
I heard that a Chinese phrase "guanxi" has now become a part of English now.
"guanxi" is something we Chinese use when we are in contact with people. It is something like "relationship" when you are in society.
Here is an example: Mr A and Mr B are both wanna cooperate with Mr C's company.
They come to the company and talk with Mr C.( These three people do not know each other before) After that, Mr A invited Mr C to a big dinner and Mr B just go away. During the dinner , Mr A talks a lot with Mr C and they become kind of "friend". So when it is time for Mr C to choose which guy is their next partner, he probably choose Mr A. We may call it , hey, "guanxi" is important.
Or another one. You and Boy 1 go to a contest. You and the judge are good friends, but Boy 1 doesn't know the jusge before. So, if there is a chance, the judge would makes you better than Boy1 just because you and the judge has some kind of "guanxi".
Hey, I believe you have understand what I mean. What is your opinion about this? What do you think of "guanxi"?

Yep. Ability is the most important thing. But sometimes, guanxi may beat ability in some dirty way and makes the world a little bit unfair.
On the other hand, having a good relationship with others does no bad.

Yes,having a good relationship with others is not a bad thing,but taking adavantage of a good relationship is a bad bad thing.

My idea with the word guanxi is that it refers to a relationship that is beyond ordinary. Say I have two numbers both were girls and one is not replying to my text message, the replying girl therefore would end up guanxi to me. But between a girl who have had my number and the one who don't the one who have my number is guanxi. Despite so, if both guanxis but I am not content, there's a chance the one who don't have my number is going to be the real guanxi. Makes logic easier to play with.
