Is PeopleString a scam site?

From what I understand it is legit and it is ok. It is ok to earn there. It is very hard sometimes to figure out what is scam and what is not.

I tried PeopleString a couple of years ago. It is a good looking site, easy to use. It was easy to sign up for. Everything went fine in the beginning. I succeeded in signing up and got a piece of mail confirming me as having signed up. After that I never got anything. I emailed customer service and while I can not remember what the reply was, it was not satisfying. I never earned a penny. And I stopped trying. I believe that I have cancelled my account. I have checked them out on the internet and other users have said that they were satisfied and did earn money. My experience was negative.
