I am not sue if i am addicted to the internet. i am suppose to be studying for a final exam and here i am on the internet. When i wake up in the morning the first thing i check is my mail and my Facebook page. I sometimes spend the whole day surfing, chatting, listening to music when there are other things to do. My family thinks am addicted to the internet and i need help. I think am not that bad because i know people worst than myself. What do you think? are these symptoms that would show that i am addicted. Are you addicted to the internet?

one way to tell if your addicted to the internet is if you think 48 hours without internet connection is pure hell and makes you sob like a baby, then your obviously addicted.

we had a project in college to go 72 hours without any internet connection and by the second day most of the class looked like someone killed their family or them. there were zombies, wailers and people with serious full-body twitches. it was absolutely hilarious.

yes i think you are addicted to the internet.you need some help to get out of that first thing is you have to set time limit for your self that you will not spend more than one or two hours on internet on day,if you cant control your self in such way then you should keep someone as your head whom you respect, obey him and give him right to act upon you strictly.it will find you discomfortable at first as you are spending so much time right now but cut down your time gradually.ask your self one question every time when you are on internet that what you are doning on internet is really much important than other work whish you have to do.i think most of the time your answer will be NO.when you get NO as answer switch off your computer immediately get up and complete the task which is more important.keep your self motivated to come out of this habit.make it a goal, difine that you will achieve this goal within some time period.as my opinion 1 month would be enough to achieve your goal.i think this will help you.if you need any further help please post your comment here.

that is easier said than done. I just need to set my task in terms of priority and stick to it. Strangely i have checked out ways that i could get this addiction cured but it came back to me searching the internet for answers. the fact is, the internet has everything one could search for and thats why i really stick to it. the internet is like my best friend and giving up such a friend is hard. One month seems short but i think i should try.

when it comes to do nothing is easy in life you have to make it easy.every good thing involves a short term pain.you have to go through it for the better for your future.just think for a big picture.which think is going to become more important for you in your life in long run.never underestimate yourself always have courage to say no which things are keeping you away from doing the right thing.you will find it bad at first but with some practice and persistance you will feel good.the main key is never quit.take hard steps upon yourself.whenever thoughts of internet comes to your mind replace it the good one that if i will use this time for my study i will definitely get good marks which will be better for my future.

In a sense and most days, I am. There you go - a complete admission. I guess there are days when I need to do something and I need to do it with a computer and an internet connection. I do check my mail, my jobs, and anything that crops up interesting every single day. Though my family has yet to express their opinion about my internet habits, I try to 'unplug' myself twice a week to make sure that I still live in a realistic world. Also, I have an eye condition which makes me more concerned than other reasons. I try to minimize the computer's effects on my health so that I will not die if there is no internet connection or a power failure. I guess there are also times when I get weary or plain frustrated when net surfing. Though the internet has lots and lots of offers, sometimes I just want my feet on the ground, the sun on my skin, the wind and my hair and other stuff that I can touch. As interesting and helpful the internet is, there has to limits and users like us should be able to know when to stop and literally smell some roses. If you do suspect that you are addicted, try to ask a health professional. I don't buy vague or assumed condition. There is such a condition but it's best to have a correctly diagnosis than an assumed one.

the internet is going no where but still we put off important thing for it. I guess it all boils down to opportunity cost and what we consider as important at the end of the day. I use the internet to escape from my troubles because sometimes i don't feel comfortable talking to people about them. I prefer talking to an online friend who is far away, that way i am sure my business will not spread around to people who may know me. I have developed a passion for writing and the internet id where i choose to express this passion. I really do not know what i would do without the internet.

I spend more than 6 to 8 hours in net, daily i check out my facebook, orkut and my e-mail ids. I also do my online jobs for sometime in net. I don't even miss a single to sit in front of my computer and online. In my home asks me about it.

I do like to spend a great deal of time here but i wouldn';t say that i was addicted to it. i would miss it if it were gone, but then i would find something to take its place.

Well... Addiction is very bad, whatever the thing you are addicted to. I myself am not directly addicted to the Internet, but I am SO addicted to WoW (World of Warcraft). Maybe it's because of the spare time that the Spring Brake gives me, or maybe it's just that it's such an awesome game... Who knows? So... I kind of am addicted to the internet as WoW requires internet to run.

At night,I am not online until 10:30 or so.I don't know whether I'm addicted to the internet.

One can know if his addicted to something is when he is doing it always and would want to die for it, and who doesn't want to stop doing it, he may skip his chores and forget responsibilities just to be with the internet, and i am sure that i am not that kind, because it will be okey with me if i cant be in the computer for a day even for a week or for a month.
