What is important to you price or performance? Large touch screen, 3D, long battery life? Maintainance-free for 3 years? Shock and water-proof? Wi-Fi? featherweight?
Have you noticed the price increase over the past years of most every single consumer item one ususally purchases? Except for computers and mobile phones. Prices remained stable and even have come down. Yet the list of features has grown. I remember my first "mobile" phone, a Motorolla, the size of a large dog bone, impossible to slip into a pocket! It cost a staggering 3,000 $ and it turned heads wherever I went. Laptops or tablets didn't exist in those days.
Today, mobile phones are wafer-thin, with touch screen, WiFi capability, etc.
What would be you DREAM computer or mobile phone like? What features would it have?

My MacBook Pro 15", 2,6 i7, 4GB RAM, etc... Is just plain AMAZING!!!
It cost A LOT but is worth every penny. For me, a computer:
-has to be EXCELLENT quality
-it has to have a long battery power (laptop)
-it needs to be good looking (design)
-it needs to be fast (good processor/memory)
and it just needs to do anything I want it to without any problems.
Because of this reason, I could only take a Mac (as in my opinion, only Macs do whatever I want without any problems), and the 15" was the smartest choice as it was a compromise between power and size (portability)

Umm... Not really. The only thing that makes me sad right now is the new "Thundebolt" feature that is in the NEW MacBook Pros....
Thunderbolt is more than 2x as fast as USB 3.0, and is until now MacBook Pro exclusive:

For any gadget , performance is important .
For a decent mobile phone today ( mostly a smart phone ) , it should have
1) Touch Screen : At least 3.7" of capacitive touch screen of 1024 x 800
2) Camera : 5MP camera with 720p recording
3) OS : Android 2.3 or Symbian^3 or a blackberry OS or iOS ( though iOs and B'Berry OS are not custom available )
4) Connectivity : Wifi , Bluetooth , 3G
5) Memory : Micro SD expandable to 32GB ( internal memory not a issue )
6) HDMI port ( optional ) , 3.5mm jack ( necessary )
7) Processor : At least 800 MHz processor to run OS smoothly
8) RAM : Atleast 256 MB
OMG if I get a customize a phone , it would surely have all these and even more .

Excellent! You seem to have a pretty good idea of what your ideal hardware is. Many myLotters can learn from this information, some may only be able to dream of it......... I wish you will able to put your hands on it really soon.

I have to say I have seen a:
ASUS LAMBORGHINI X7 and I am stunned by it. especially the black carbon fibre one. It is a very stunning LAPTOP.
It comes with
wifi
8 in one card reader,
usb 3.0 ports
blueray reader and writer,
bluetooth
i think it is a 15" (dont quite remember)
2 mega pixel camera (it should have been better)
an 8 cell battery
comes with 750 gig hardrive
i7 processor. Not sure the speed exactly
1 gig video card/ 2 gig video card.
and a stunning 16 GIG RAM
And most of all the back of it looks like a lamborghini with the tail lights.
It looks a little bit childish though.
The price is about 4999 usd. Very expensive I say. But i see stores selling it for about 700 usd and saying you are saving 85% on it. I dont really understand those deals and I am not sure it they lower the price because they reomved some of the features.
