Hi everyone, I am a university student and I am doing a tough-time-consuming be course. It has been draining a lot of my energy. I want to go out and have fun, maybe join a club or two. You konw, to get involved with university student life like making new friends, doing exciting things, exploring things I cant do once I start work, traveling the world, back-packing through India with some friends or scale the Great Wall in China. That was my whole idea of a university student life. However, my dream cant seem to materialise, not even a faint of it. I have been too caught up with work and my lack of time management skills is not helping. So anyone here has any tips for better time management? :)

When I was a university student I had a list of current assignments to do. Then I did each of these assignments as quickly as possible. Some students did theirs just in time for the last day it had to be in. However other assignments would come in and then when they have six to do these students would worry. As I did an assignment I ticked it off my list. Before a teaching practice I did lots of work on my school folder and showed it at a meeting then I could go home for the rest of the week. In Year 2 of my course students were offered the chance to study abroad for one semester. I chose the Netherlands and had a lovely time over there. Though I still had end of year exams to do well in without having been at the lectures. I always traveled overseas in the summer holidays. At the end of my first year I traveled to the Czech Republic, Slovenia and Poland. Then at the end of my second year I traveled to Kenya. In my next summer holiday I traveled to Israel and Jordan experiencing very hot weather. Whilst I was studying in the Nethelands the students had a five day holiday. So off I went by train to some other European destinations like Luxembourg.

Just focus on your study first. Make time to every details for your course. Set aside your craving for fun and travel, anyway, it can wait. After your study and you landed a good job, you can do and enjoy everything you want. But don't forget to manage your time wisely. Set things from top priority to the least one.
