If you had to make your salad from scratch what would you put in it?

I like a lot of things in my salad but i also don't like to have a lot of things in my salad. That's why i don't really like already prepared salads and like to add my own ingrediants. I would make my salad of spinach, muchrooms, grilled chicken, bacon bits, eggs, all types of shredded cheese, and so much more. What would you put in your salad?

When I make salad I start with a mix but then add any leftover cooked veggies I have on hand, cheese, seeds, and maybe a can of beans drained. I also make my own dressings.

I think that that's very good that you're saving money by using leftovers. I never use leftovers but maybe I should start doing that.haha. And making your own dressing is especially good because it reduces calories so that your salad can actually be healthy like it's supposed to be.

I like all of your salad, but I´d have a mixture of greens. Your spinach plus several types of lettuce, a bit of arugule too. I could also add black or green olives, sweet peppers (diced) and a diced not too ripe avocado. YUMMY!!!

Yes your sweet peppers sounds quite delicious. That would be add in my "other stuff" part. I am not a real big fan of olives and I have never tried an avocado.

I absolutely love salads and I really could live on them through the entire summer. This year I've been making a lot of salads myself because it is generally more economical than purchasing ready made salads. The things that I like to put on my salads are lettuce and spinach, some carrots, avocado, goat cheese, almonds or another kind of nut and tomatoes. Then I like to top it was a raspberry vinagerette dressing.
