The first person I would run to is my sister, since she's around the same age group as me and understand my personal problems better than other people. If the problem is much bigger, I would turn to my parents because they would support me no matter what. If it's about school or whatnot, I suppose I would ask my friends, mostly for advice. The course of action would, of course, depend on me, but I know these people would watch my back whatever I decide to do with the problem.

I would prefer to have a wise person to talk to, someone who lives his/her life as an example of justice and honesty. I had a professor once who was very open to everyone and contemplative of life and society. I felt that I could trust him because he went through so many experiences in life that I could relate to, and he never acted superior or inferior to anyone. He seemed to have learned a lot over his lifetime, rather than making the same mistakes. Another reason I would go to him is because he is detached from my life. When we have problems, it is nice to talk to someone who is not really invested in our life because he won't have judgements about your friends or your actions.
