How to convert DVD to CD?

I have a DVD of a music video of my favorite band. I have become bored watching it. However I never get tired of listening to the music. I want to convert this DVD to CD format so I can listen to the music on my car. Is there a simple way or a computer program for converting a DVD content to a CD format? I once did this by just recording the sound with audio editing program such as Audacity and convert the file into CD format. But this takes such a long time and not practical.

You can go to cnetdotcom and Download Any Video Converter for Free. I like it and You can Convert any Format to Another Format. But You should be able to Play the DVD in Your Cars CD Player. Have You Tried it yet. It should Play any Audio Format from DVD or CD

You want to just convert DVD to CD or video to audio too? A simple way.. use Nero.. First insert your DVD in your system.. and copy all the contents of DVD into one folder.. Insert blank CD into your system.. and open Nero Burning Roam.. Create Video/Audio CD drag and drop files from that source folder.. just drag only 700 MB files only.. others keep as it is. and burn it.. It works for me for DVD to CD.. from Video to Audio in Nero haven't tried yet..

A CD is about an eighth or sixteenth the capacity of a DVD (single or dual layer) but just the sound track should fit ok. As said above, ripping should be no problem unless there is some clever protection algorithm in place to prevent copying.
