1,5 year old and playing soccer like this! Hoax, anyone???

My first thought was that it had to be a fake but after viewing the video, unbelievable as it really looks real. Maybe one of the gifted kids and this the child's forte. You never know with so many prodigy children this just might really be the childs gift.

I think that its quite genuine. I have a grandson of about the same age who is just as accurate with kicking and throwing a ball. I (who never had good ball skills) am just constantly amazed at his accuracy! He hasn't learned to catch yet but his sister, who is a little more than a year older can do so and she is even more adroit at kicking and throwing. The hardest part about kicking a ball, of course, is being able to balance on one leg while using the other to kick. Most kids will fall over when they first try but, especially if they are walking early (at 9 to 10 months or even earlier), they soon learn the skill. You will notice that this little boy has only to lift the ball sufficiently to clear the rim of the box. The lid is angled in such a way that, as long as he can do this and is reasonably accurate about directing the ball, it is almost certain to go into the box. He has clearly been encouraged by praise to practice and to think it a clever and proper thing to do!

I don't think its a hoax. Why? Well, because I think that if the roomie's great nephew had soft balls like those (and you can see him grab that last ball with one hand) that he could've done it when he was one and a half. The great nephew at 3 has a 4 yr old best friend who is only about an inch (couple of centimeters) taller. This kid is remarkably coordinated for his age and always has been. I'd suspect the child in the video is the same way. Fact is, the nephew is probably from the same genetic "stock" as the boy in the video, Northern European, probably of German/French with a lot of "whatever" in there.
