How do you feel about your police men? Honestly sometimes i feel most of them are scary, scary in the sense that they are not trustworthy and they might be unto something. Some policemen i see around looks like goons themselves! But i am not talking about all them though, i see most new policemen here too that looks very ready to save the world, young vibrant, aucorrupted. Hehe what about you? Well what can you say about your place policemen and how do they look like to you?

In my home country police officers are 100% trustworthy. They go away for months to train to become a police officer. Uniformed police officers are visible on the streets in my locality and in other locations. Also non-uniformed police officers work and have the power to act when a criminal strikes. There are some mounted police officers that go around on horse back. On the River Thames there are river police. In some countries the police can be corrupt and unreliable. If I got something stolen when traveling abroad I would have to get a police report to show to my travel insurance company.

I am living in Nigeria. I want to comment about the Nigerian policemen and policewomen. They are among the most corrupt people in Nigeria today. They extort money from motorist, travellers on highway, criminals etc If you have a case with someone and you come to lay a complaint at the police station you are made to part with your money. If you are arrested by the police they will pull or shirt if you are man and keep you in a place call the counter if you fail to settle them they will throw you into their police station cell and you will be made to enjoy an unpleasant night with die hard prisoners. If you are a girl or woman your ear rings will be removed and you are also placed in the counter. If you do not want to enter their cell you are made to settle them. But for serious criminal cases they extort money from the offenders and they also placed them in their cell pending when the matter is brought before a law court. Most police officer have lost their lives on highway either they are killed by a heavy duty vehicle, smaller cars or armed robbers. They are killed because they abandoned their duties and get carried away with the habits of extorting money from motorist. However, the nigerian governement with a more determined efforts is fighting back. The nigerian governement is now making sure that university graduate are admitted to the police force. They are also trained with a lot of modern equipment and gadgets. There is also improvement in their salary as against the past. They are being paid a good wage compared to when they live on borrowing and other form of extortion. The Nigerian public is now watching to see if the police will change for the better. Many Nigerian need the support of a well equipped and well trained police to give them all the security they could ever dream of. Time will however tell if things will change for the better.

Cops are people too. Just like any other group of people there are ones with good intentions and ones with bad. I know here in Kansas city there are a lot of crooked cops. But some are trust worthily. It's sad people of authority positions are not to be trusted either. But that's life I guess.

There are definitely good cops and bad cops. Personally I think all of them abuses their power. Have you ever, and I'm sure you have, seen a police man talking with another police man, both are in their cars with the cars running parked side by side just talking and having a good time? Well this happens a lot where I'm from. Or have you seen a police car running and no police man in it. This also happens often where I'm from. These policeman are abusing our tax paying money buy just wasting their gas, for what? My mom works at the County Sheriff Department. She knows what is allowed and what is not. The police is always abusing the law, they can drive over the speed limit just to go to McDonalds, but we can't? I once got and almost $300 ticket for no signal, in a turning lane! Abusing their power to the fullest, that I didn't think was fair, luckily the judge lowered it to $120 I believe it was.

The policemen in our place are very nice. They perform their duty very well to protect our place and respond readily to any situation though some of them are not straight guys like the other. Good to say that they are not cross dresser. I salute them.

I used to trust them and think that as long as the truth was followed it would always be okay but as time went on I came to realize that I dont trust them either because they can just say whatever they want and thats that. You cant change anything once they get something set up in a certain way and most of the time they certainly dont follow the innocent until proven guilty. There are so many time when they will pick on people because they "look Suspicious" Now how fair is that?

I would like to talk about Indian Police...When in Talk about them , i got mixed reaction , both good and bad. Some time they are best and sometime they are the worst. Corruption is always there as they will be controlled by the ruling politicians . May be they dont want to get corrupted , but to get promotions , name and fame they have to support other corrupted in the society. They fight against all the bad elements in the society . They fight against the terrorist . I also should not forget to mention those who lost their lives in the fight against terrorism.

In my side of the planet, I can say pizza arrives faster than the policemen. I think our police force here is undermanned , the reason why they get to you when they have done missions that were announced earlier than yours. And yes ifever they arrive, they just spell trouble.I am not saying this in a general term, but it is real, real as real life here.
