What is your town known for, like when your towns name is displayed or talked about what does come into peoples mind when they hear about your town or province or state? Here in Philippines, well, when a town is said almost all people would know what that town is probably known for. Like, food products that they only made or they are famous for, or maybe some really wonderful artworks or bags, shoes. And so on. What about you? What is your town or state famous for?

Tango, leather and meat. I'm from Buenos Aires, Argentina, and I think that people just come here to dance tango, or see other people dancing tango. And for shopping, who loves leather will find the cheapest leather products here for sure. Our country is almost ruled by cows hahaha, that's why the leather is so good and cheap here. There are many people who thinks the best meat in the world is here, so, they also come here to eat meat.

When someone asks me where I'm from, I just say, "Texas". Everybody knows about Texas, or thinks they do. Not many know that it could be divided into at least 4 different states, all very different from each other. It's not all catcus and cows. That's just the western part. We have large cities and miles and miles of beaches. Along the Rio Grande, we grow enough produce to fill the stores of hungry northerners when they are snowed in. We have tall pines and mesquite brush, fields of cotton, corn and wheat. You name it, we probably have it in Texas. The only think I can think of that we don't have is ski slopes, unless they are man made, and Texans are pretty good at creating anything they desire.

My state is famous for crabs. We are on the east coast of the US and there is a huge bay called the Chesapeake Bay that runs through it so there is a lot of seafood around especially crabs so we are most famous for those.

I live in Great Yarmouth UK and and as far as I know the name is unique. What are we famous for? We invented fish fingers at least Birdseye did when their factory was here and we had the first civilian to be killed in an air raid during the 1914/18 war by airship. We were Lord Nelson's home port.

I am from Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh is known for a lot of things. Mainly for its steel. That is why the city is nicknamed the Steel City. Also, Pittsburgh is a huge piece of history for the Revolutionary War. Pittsburgh also has 446 bridges making it the city with the most bridges within city limits in the world. There is a lot of history and things that make this city known. By the way, great topic.

My state is known for being the one of the top hit states in the depression and unemployment. The small town I grew up in is known for being unknown. And Ann Arbor is known as its own quaint little town with the art fair, hash bash and tree huggers.

There are numerous things my state is famous for. My region is in a vast cotton growing area and more locally we are known for our hot artesian bore bath which flows into a tiled pool. The therapeutic value of the mineral waters of the bore has long been recognised.

Balboa island known for the ferry service.Lido for the ultra ultra rich where if you have to ask the price you cannot afford it. lol lolOh yes and frozen Chocolate covered bananas too.Laguna beach is known for its colony of artists and art work San Juan Capistrano is a mission where the Swallows return every year as sure as Clockwork. San F ranciso earthquakes that shattered it. Northern Ca for fruit and veggies that supply the state and a lot of the US. Quite a state altogether.
