It does make me wonder. And today before eight, even the home phone was out and yet the tv worked perfectly. You see, my internet, home phone, and tv ;are all connected. So what is going on? It did work finally, but I could not even call my friends or the cable company as I was charging my cell phone. I am now wondering what will happen tomorrow. Is this due to fixing up the cable or is this a cost saving measure? Hope it does not happen when I am on mylot. Are two ams in a row a coincidence or is something else going on.

That is what happened, but it was not early in the am. I do get up at 7, and at 8 it went off and then went back on again, around 9 and that happened yesterday, and previous. When the phone started to working and the internet went on, I went to Shaw's site to ask them what happened and also that if they are trying to make me feel guilty about my internet usage, I informed them tat I do not download movies. I do not need new channels either.

That could be the reason, but they did not make any major announcements. We usually get a letter aying that they are going to add new channels and if there is a time when the cable will be out, they will call all of us and tell us that the cable will be off between so and so hours on such a such day. I did get no recently, but I will have to check myu messages and find out. Si I did and there was no message from Shaw telling me that they were having problems.

I think that has happen to me a couple times before. I also have the bundle, TV cable, digital phone and internet on the same service..I think what we did was to reboot the modem and that got it working again..

I tried that and it did not work. But it did come on again after a while. I did spend that time working on my novel, and also putting on my latest photos of my newest grandson. But I wanted to get on mylot before my favorite shows came on.

I have to see what happens tomorrow. I did try to call Shaw, but could not get through, and there is no 0 access to talk to a real person in the choices.

I am guessing it is all the storms that are rolling through the US. I have been having trouble with my computer finding some sites. I am going to give it a few days before worrying too much about it.

That is happening as well. Our internet provider comes from some place in Ontario and during the winter we had trouble a coupole of times when I phoned Shaw, and they said that they were having trouble and the internet would be down. One of thohose tlme, even the phone was down as it was a digital phone, sort of like Comcast, so I had to call with m cellphone to ind out what was going on. There has also been a couple of web sites that were down, but I did not know whether it was where that web sight came from or the whole internet thing. I had to try several before realizing it was Shaw, our big internet provider up here.

It's irritating, isn't it? I wonder why it happened 2 days in a row, it's really weird that TV would work and the others not. I can still use my phone when it is being charged, try it sometime and I'm sure it will work.

My home phone is a digital one that is included in the Shaw package. That is something like the Comcast you have down there. It could be they are upgrading the cable. But I did not get a letter saying that they are upgrading it to fiber optics and that would be the only reason for them to cut off the cable and the phone cable as well. I do have a cell phone and I suspect that is what you are talking about, but my cell phone number is only for my friends although I did give the number to the hospital in case of emergencies. I do not want to publish it. I rather dislike telemarketers.

Maybe you should try calling or contacting the company that you have all of these connected to maybe someone turned off your service by mistake and you won't know until you call. It has happened to me before so maybe you should try calling or contacting them.

It happened to everyone and I could not get through because they had an unusual nuimber of calls. The only way I could have gotten through was to use my cellphone and that is not registered on my cable bill. Besides if I did use it and call it, I would have had an extremely large cellphone bill at the end of the month.

If that happens in our neighborhood it usually means the energy prices will increase..;p

My Shaw bill already did increase and that was after they wrote an email saying that two of the most popular programs on the second tier were now on basic. Yet the bill increased. They now have packages for those who just love movies, those just love news, etc. but me, I like everything with exception, but I figured if my bill had gone down, I could have added that old movie channel called Silverscreen to the list.

So what happens if the coffee house uses the same internet provider that you do? Also does to the coffee house charge you for how long you use the internet? You are probably already paying for the internet at home so now you go down to a coffee house and so you have to pay extra and I am sure that your provider does not give you a discount t for the time it was down.

I am not sure. Who do you do business with for all of these services? Our power goes off and on alot lately too but it is all due to the weather. Lots of rain and tornado warnings.

Why? Because it is cheaper to go with a bundled service. But I was also expecting the cable tv to go off as well, not just the telephone and the internet. They were upgrading the cable, I knew that was going to happen and usually they give us a call telling that we will have no telephone nor internet for a while and the tv would also be affected, but it was not for this morning or the day before. And when the power is off, it is usually after midnight and before eight and not just intermittent.
