Should I go back to my regular salon?

I love having my acrylic nails. Lately, I've been going to a place a few towns away because I really like the lady that does them. Honestly, they aren't the best, but I was okay with that. Well, I broke one a few days ago and it's been driving me crazy. I can't have one broken nail because I'm very OCD about it. I will literally rip them all off if one is broken. So I went to a place thats only two miles from my house and asked them to fix it. The lady looked at my nails and asked where I got them done... she said they looked really bad! So she fixed that one nail and did such a good job, I let her fill the rest of them. And they look really good! Plus, they were a few dollars cheaper than where I normally go. So do I go back to my orginal lady, whose nails are not that great, more expensive and I have to travel about 20 minutes to go to? Or do I drive two minutes down the road for cheaper and better nails? This sure sounds like a no-brainer lol. I'm just very loyal and it's hard for me to just leave someone. Have you ever experienced this with any type of service?

To me, is not that hard. I'm not a very loyal person, except with my dogs because they are loyal with me LOL. But when it comes to my beauty, I try to always look the best. For example, I'm completely obsessed with skincare, and I always try to find the best products and those that suit perfectly with my skin. But if some product was really bad or just not that good as some other I used to use, I don't care how better magazines say this product is, or how famous is the brand, or how many celebrities use the product and etc, if is not good or there's something better and even cheaper, because the world of skincare is like this too, cheaper products are always better than expensive brands, I will go for the better and cheaper.

For some reason, I'm very loyal about service. I just took my car to get it's oil changed at the dealership instead of some place cheap because I was loyal. Plus, my car is brand new and I want to make sure other places know their way around that specific model of car before they do any work on mine! But you make a good point. I'm loyal to my doggies too lol!

It's probably the more economical way too. I should just listen to you guys and shut up!

I was trying to say you should always be loyal with the best. That's a better way! :)

I say you go with the cheapest person. I have never been through this before.I hate it also when one nail breaks it makes the rest look like crap.I wish you luck on whatever you do.

Personally if I were you, I would call the place that you have been going too for quite some time, and explain to them that you can no longer afford to go there due to the price and the gas prices, etc. and then go to the one that is closer to you. I would think quality of a job done, and for a cheaper price should be the answer.

It definitely seems like you're better off going to the place that is two minutes away and is cheaper. It seems like it's definitely the better option. It does sound like they do a better job. Plus you save time and money. So, that's always a bonus.

I say change shops and go where it is less expensive and more convenient..if you feel badly you can always tell the other lady you need to save time and money and you will miss her. I would not stay with someone who isn't doing the best job ..unless lol she is a relative or something?? Even then..do you drive to see her?? With gas the price it is, I'd switch. You are sweeet to think of her feelings, but you also need to think of what is best for you. Good luck..

Thanks for the reply :) No, she's not a relative or anything and I doubt I would ever see her again, if I didn't go back to get my nails done. You make a good point about the gas prices. My parents live out by that salon, but there was only one time I combined the trips and went to their house while I was out there. And that was only because my brother was home sick from school and my mom had taken the day off to be with him. Other than that, I probably would never go to both places again.

Have you ever tried online nail gallery? I love nail art, I do my nails about once 3weeks, and almost entirely by myself! Almost all my friends love my nail art! It was so great! The other day, one of my friends told me that,"I can open an online nail gallery to help others with their nails and at the same time, you can earn some extra money...",I bet this is the best idea I have ever heard!! So, I suggest you to my online nail gallery http://www.nailprettynails.com to CUSTOMIZE NAILS OF YOUR OWN STYLE!

I think you should get them done by someone better. Not the person who is not that great.

In my opinion, you can choose the new guy over the old one. Her salon offers a cheaper rate , nearer to your place and makes better nails. Over time you can develop a nice relationship with the new one. We all want something that is worth our money, right?
