What Do You Think Are the Worst Song Lyrics of All Times?

You know how you hear a new song, your love the beat and the music, and then you listen to the words and think.....HUH? Out of all of the popular songs ever, what are the worst lyrics, or horribly written lyrics you have ever heard? For me, it would have to be for the song MacArthur Park, you remember it? I remember the Donna Summer version: "Someone left the cake out in the rain, I don't think that I can take it, Cause it took so long to bake it, And I'll never have that recipe again" Why??? Who leaves a cake in the rain? It's just too weird, and makes me think that someone was smoking something funny when they wrote this one. Whoever wrote this, I would love to talk to them and ask why...

Muskrat Love...Yummy Yummy Yummy I Got Love In My Tummy...Three Widdle Fishies... Idiotic lyrics aren't new. MacArthur's Park is really bad, though, because it's SOOO overblown! I have to agree on Muskrat Love. I worked at Walgreens and the first time I heard that I was like...WTF?!?!? Who in the world comes up with this crap? Then, of course, the song kept coming on constantly driving me nuts. Part of the reason I just quit that job was the music. From now on...Im going to pay attention to the music before I agree to work anywhere. That can seriously make or break the job for me after this last torture!!

Hanson, maybe others wouldn't believe you, but I do! I have also left places of work because I couldn't stand the "music!" Maggiepie "The Tree of Liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of Patriots & Tyrants." ~ Thomas Jefferson

Fireworks by Katie Perry, people just got fooled by the inspirational ballad melody, It has a good catchy melody but the lyrics makes a poem wrote by a kidnergarten student sound better: I will try to quote its most stupid lines: Do you ever feel like a plastic bag (using a plastic bag as a metaphor) Drifting throught the wind Wanting to start again also every songs by Ke$ha and songs from the latest album of Blackeyed peas.

Wow CaptAlbert! I always liked Firework, but truthfully, I only know the chorus lyrics! That plastic bag line really sucks! And Kesha, I feel bad saying anything bad about a person I don't know but every time I see her I just don't like her. Not nice of me, but the truth. Thanks for responding!

Most likely you liked fireworks because of the melody and Katy Perry can actually sing.... Its only badly written. Try to read the lyrics of the songs of Black eyed peas in their latest album...the lyrics were badly written.
