Should I wait for him? I wish it would be that easy...

My boyfriend and I broke up because we had to, he needs to go home to his family. We can't risk being in a long distance relationship, it wouldn't work for us. We decided to end the relationship and still remain friends. But, he asked me to wait for him. When he returns, we would be together again.
I don't know if it's be a good idea. He would be gone for months and in that span of time, I'm sure a lot of things will happen. I'm not saying that I will meet some other guy, but I'm referring to our feelings for each other. We would already be used of not doing the things that we usually do together. I love him and I'm afraid that it would not be enough. Though we would still communicate but it wouldn't be the same anymore.

Have you not clarified this with him when you broke up? Didn't you think that well you could have tried bein in a long distance relationship and decide whether or not you can stand being that far?
I guess if notlove him them you would risk and wait for him.and hope that he feels the same too.

If you are meant to be together, then it will happen. I believe you are making a right decision. Its not fair on him or you to put your life's on hold while you wait for him to come back. If the feelings are still there for both you when he does return, then you can continue on with the relationship.
