The Politics of Bullying

It seems that we are all told not to be a bully, except if you want ot push the Liberal agenda. In Wisconsin we saw the Unions threaten (bully) business into supporting their cause or face retribution. We see Conservative speaker on college campuses shouted (Bullied) down when they try to explain their point of view. Black TEA Party participants are singled out for racial slurs by counter protesters (bullied). CEO's who receive a bonus have poor people bussed to their homes to demand (Bully) they give the money to the poor. Finally you have the Government pass laws saying is is alright to extort (Bully) from the rich more money to give to someone else (taxes). It seems that bullying on an individual level is wrong but to bully a group is seen as a good thing. Bullying has been a tool of the Liberals and radicals for years and we are made to think it is good to give in to their bullying and give them their wishes.

The way to stop that is to stand up to them and not back down. If we all stand up for our rights then the bullies lose eveytime.

What do you do if the Media is doing the Bullying? For Example look at Gov. Palin or the Attacks on the Rich.

There was a time when a horsewhip would have taken care of the problem. What we have to do now is prove the media to be lying, which a lot of people have already realized. Everytime they lie or bully, they have to be exposed and called on it. If it is left unsanswereed, then it becomes the new "th=ruth". We must not allow that to happen. It was the media and their refusal to investigate allegations of 0bama that got hinm elected. While they were busy carrying his water, they were also attacking his opponents, and Palin was such a threat to him that she became a target. The rich is an easy and popular target for the lazy media. If they did their homework, they would find that it is the so-called rich and business that rive our economy and create jobs... not the poor. The media should be exposed and called to answer for these things everytime they do them.

In the 1950 there were many tax loop holes for the rich to avoid paying taxes. One such loophole was that a Rich person could buy a ranch or farm and depreciate the buildings then sell the property and the new owner who would do the same thing. There were Financier who put together such deals and the investor had a tax loss while making money. President Reagan reduced the tax rate for everyone and closing many of the loop holes at the same time. The result was the taxes collected remained fairly constant. If every time you reduce the tax rate you close loop holes (Eliminate deductions and credits) you will generate the same revenue. The problem is Congress and politicians will not do that because they want to use the tax code to reward and punish different people or groups to get votes.

That's why I say all this anti-bullying crap is a waste. We're not saving any lives by pretending to do something about bullying. A PSA from Lady Gaga isn't going to end it and neither are some words from a politician. Bullies are stopped by people standing up to them. There is no better time for people to learn that than when they are children. If you don't teach kids to fight back against bullies then you'll get a generation of adults who are too weak to stand up to bullies. I can't tell you I've dealt with MANY bullies as an adult. Almost every job I've been at has had one. Typically they are people in their 40's or 50's who are angry that their manager is 20-30 years younger than them. I dealt with no shortage of bullies as a kid where the threat was actual physical harm. Learning to deal with that helped prepare me for the more insidious adult bullies who threaten with other things. Much like welfare the anti-bullying crap from the left is more likely to perpetuate the problem than prevent it and just like welfare, democrats are the ones benefiting.

I agree that rather than negotiate with a bully confront them. I have seen programs that are taught to children where a bully wants to play with a ball you have. During the process you try to work out a deal. In the end the Bully gets to play with the ball and you get to play with the ball. Sound good? No because it is telling the Bully that if you start demanding everything you will get something.
