Which will you prefer?

I am confused, do I have to my pride UP for what I am doing? I really like this thing, although it's oldschool,cheap still I wanted it. I really gonna buy this thing until my parents told me that, It's not worth it, and instead they said that they will get me new ones. It is expensive and I don't like it, though we will share on the expenses like 50/50.
In my situation, it is a CAR.
So my question is, which will you prefer even if its not a car. The thing that is old/vintage, cheap but you really like to buy on your own budget or the thing that is newer, expensive, and you don't even like with someones help on expenses, lets say 50/50 or what so ever. hmm?

I'd say go for what you want, but then, you still have to think about the maintenance of that car. Will it cost you? Are you prepared for the responsibility that comes with that car?
I would prefer the vintage car though, but my parents say it would be difficult to maintain it. Gas/engine problems and things like that. But then, I don't really care if I have a car or not. lol

It's not that super old though, I just wanted its body, you can always replace the engine with newer ones that does fit on the car. :)

As for me, i will get the thing that i want, even if others will say it's cheap, old or whatever. I need to please myself and not others. Afterall, if i don't get what i want and settled for something i think is better, i still end up longging for the thing that i wanted first.

Yes, you're right. Even you have this wonderful, expensive, good looking thing. to think that you don't even like it is useless.
It's like marrying someone you don't even love right? :) not good not good. :)
