In Mylot, you have to be Civilized and Nice

I have never experienced insults here ,, but on other sites have had four letter responses ,and have been accused of lying because I held a different view.!

Yeah,of course we all should.So far,I haven't seen any personal insults or whatsoever between mylotters.And I certainly hope that I would never encounter such kind of situations.Not on me,not on anybody else.People all need to be respected.We may have different backgrounds,different opinions towards certain things,but it's never an easy call to decide who is right or who is wrong.Disagreements are ok.But when it comes to insult or hatred,it is really not necessary.I think for those who have developed a habit of being aggressive,they won't have high rankings themselves.It's punishment from fellow mylotters.So at the end,they are the ones to suffer the consequences. Yes. This site gives us the chance to speak out our thoughts but we should be careful cause we can't stop people say their opinions regarding our behavior. We should be acceptable that we have different beliefs so learn how to respect others.

Yeah! Mylot makes you smarter. You want to go on a rant but instead you have to channel the negative into positive. In order to do that you have to use many adjectives and write quite descriptively. So mylot is a way for for smart, mature, level-headed people to write, vent, and earn money online. cool!

hi, i agree,that this site is creating a good relationship with other people in other part of the world,sometimes there are some misunderstandings in some discussions and some comments.and i love this site as Facebook.

hi LK, Yes we must be civilized with each others, be considerate because we have different culture and we come from different part of the world Well i don't know if i become uncivilized with other members if ever they feel it it was really unintentional I am here not just to gain earnings but friends too.... happy mylotting

I agree with you. You can disagree with someone and debate them without insulting them or calling them names. Too many people take things personally, as if they are being attacked in person and that's not the way it should be. People need a thicker skin and have to realize that not everything is directed at them personally. Always be civil and respect someone until they give you reason not to.

One of the good things about Mylot is that most of the people here discuss, ask and answer things in a cordial and helpful manner. This is not the norm in the outside, offline world. There, these days, being polite and generous is at times considered a weakness. It is shocking as to why people are always trying to take advantage of a nice person. I have learnt things the hard way. Mylot and some other sites are in a different league altogether. Why cannot be real life behavior of people the same? Why so much rudeness in that case?

Hi LetraKnight, If people did not have proper etiquette and manner they learn them here but they have to have the patience. No racial comment, no fault finding, no division but all are mylot user first and their whereabouts and other information second. When I joined this this site three years ago the rules were not so strict as they are today. Let them say bye bye to mylot but the admin cares not at all. And after one is civilized he/she should know that earning money here is not the primary practice but a honorarium.

Hi Letran Knight: Good to see you again. I agree with you. In fact when I see there's a bad atmosphere I prefer to get away from that place. I value my peace and I am here to meet some freinds, participate on interesting discussions and of course for earning some money. I don't want to have dramma in my life. ALVARO

Hello Letran While a member here I treat each and every person exactly like I would off-line. I am not rude or crude by no means so I would not be this way online at all. Does not mean that at all times it is reciprocated but at least I personally do not loose my ethics and caring ways. When I type something to an avatar/picture my muind is not thinking that is a picture but more like there is a person behind it. So while I am speaking to that person I do it exactly the way I want to be spoken to. I understand that I will not always be treated fairly but as long as I do not change my own character I am happy with me. See I sleep with me at night so I have to be happy with me. Being cruel and or abusive is not in my nature, so I can pretend to be by no means. I do understand that at times we cannot have everyone agree 100% or even 1% of the time, but being abusive is a whole different story and I don't intend/pretend to ever be.

I totally agree with you LetranKnights. Everyone is free to give their opinion over something being discussed, but they should also respect the opinions of others if it contradicts with theirs. We are here to enjoy sharing opinions, not appear superior with anyone.

it is true that facebook is far better than mylot, but i love them both, in facebook i have lots of friend and they used to give me some happiness. in mylot i learned a lot of things which enjoyed being here. Well I love having debates because we learned a lot of things from it while earning. And you are right we have to make it in positive way

I agree. I have learned when people respond with something negative, I just do not feed into it. I try my best not to offend anyone here and have a good time and be helpful if possible. I wish everyone here was like that. Most are.

It comes down to common sense, politeness and tact don’t you think? I think that it should the general rule for dealing for people in general on and off line. Everybody is entitled to a difference of opinion and a rant or two but it is important to keep it civilized as you say. If we all come here with a positive outlook we cannot go wrong, I think.

There is an easy way out and that is to keep away from those who don't see eye to eye with each other. There is plenty of fish in the ocean and so have a pick!

I agree with you. This site is an awful help to everybody concerned and it should always be practiced to keep an open mind and be polite, most especially to fellow Mylotters in the discussion. It always boils down to freedom and respect. And people who don't know how to strike a balance in those two arenas can create a awful scenario between the persons who are engaging in a discussion as well as the perosn who posted the discussion. I think that since this discussion site is mostly of the written kind, more people should be careful of what they say or more specifically what they write and post, whether it is a response or a topic discussion. MyLot is not perfect. They are people who do insult and are disrespectful of other members but I believe that majority of the people engaging in this activities are educated, professional and have an open mind. Let's hope we won't be starting a civil digital war here in MyLot.

i agree with you friend.this is the discussion site and you have to respect other mylotters also even if you disagree with them they are your friends.they are not your enemy you should not insult them.and some are with you some are against that is called the discussion.not necessarily everyone have to be with you.if some one disagree with you comment to his reply try to explain him your view,you also try to understand his view and if he is right respect him and apogize if its your mistake.we are here to earn money first of all but i think its a very good site to enjoy here you can make new friends,you can clear all your doubts here.its amazing.enjoy it.happy mylotting.

yes that is correct. i have observed that mylot is strict with its members but the benefit of that still falls on all the members. The place is positive and everyday it is cleaned up by the admin of any hateful or negative remarks. I surely admire the mylot admins and enjoy being here more than any other social sites :)
