...not a smart experience...

I really really want to rant about my current cellphone experience.
See, I was a loyal subscriber of Smart. I mean, I never changed networks and it has been my provider since I first held a cellphone. Three lost cellphones later, I'm still a devoted and loyal subscriber. However, I am now questioning my loyalty to that particular network since this morning. I loaded 15 pesos in order to respond to a friend's query. I told myself that 15 pesos of load should cover a query conversation. Apparently, I was mistaken.
My 15 pesos load wasn't enough becuase 5 sent messages later, I was broke. I have no load. The remaining 10 pesos vanished into nowhere. Luckily, a load provided was near and I have extra more money to fund my response. 15 pesos that I could have bought a cool soft drink to relinquish the hot summer heat or tricycle fare to go home.
I tried to ask for help in the local Smart center and they told me they can't do anything. probably it was a promo I subscribed to. Thing is I'm not subscribed into anything. I don't even like promos. Now, I'm firing a salvo email to Smart, and hope they taste the inconvenience that they brought me.
....Is there anyone else who had this experience, even non-Smart subscribers? Please share your story.
I really could use a cool soft drink right now.

Been through that, I have exactly the same experience like yours. I also ask the operator and she said that I maybe too have subscribe in promos. She give me instruction to find out if I subscribe in promos and there are lots of promos without my knowledge so I stop them all. I also experience buying a load but no confirmation arrived at my phone, when I ask the store staff, she said the number she put is right and she received confirmation. Two years ago, I switch from smart to globe sim, my sister send a share load to me and I received a confirmation but I can't sent messages and those ghost load that should be in your balance but it's gone. I have enough of that too giant company but I still use globe.

My main reason why I decided to transfer to Globe.
I had my Smart sim loaded with a 115php credits. Believed it or not, I never even got to text someone and the next day, it was all gone. I called the Customer Service, spoke to her my reason of calling, informed her that I never subscribed to any of their promos and then she assured me that their system has been experiencing technical difficulties and that nothing will be deducted with my credits since they can see it in their PC that my credits was still there. Three days after, still no 115php.
Then I decided to buy a Globe sim and informed everyone that I have changed number.
It's been four years and I am very happy with my Globe and Sun networks.

I think this has already been raised by one of our Senators. I think it was Sen. Enrile who raised this in the Senate because he himself got victimized by this scam. Apparently, there's no update yet on the issue. I guess we just need to wait and see on what will happen next since this is something that we still don't have any concrete laws on.

i have experienced that too! i loaded my phone with 20 pesos so that i could call someone, i dialed a number but then i could hear a busy tone. I did it twice but still same result. I then tried to text but then check operator services was on my phone. I contacted their customer service but then they said i already used my load. I was so upset. I never went back to smart again and now i shifted to sun which unfortunately was bought by smart :(
