Music,Shuffle or Not?

Hi,my dear fellow Mylotters!
I was never a fan of shuffling music.I always had the feeling that when I shuffle,most likely I would get the same song in a very short period.So I would rather sort my songs out by artists and listen to some certain artists' songs for a certain day.Yet right now,with iTunes downloaded on my laptop and the number of songs got soaring,I tried to shuffle once and I LOVED it~It gave me the feeling of surprise and curiosity.I would never know what the next song would be and also I began to hear some songs that I haven't listened to for a long time.And now,even for my cell phone,I changed the settings as well.
So what about you?Do you shuffle while you listen to music?

I don't usually shuffle my music on my ipod and or windows media player either. I will allow them to play in order or I will create play lists. This way I only have the songs that I want to hear play.
I tried shuffling once and all the wrong and bad ones always came up. I am one that when I listen to music I want to hear specific songs.

Hi Anna, I am a fan of shuffling music on my ipad. I like the feeling of not knowing what the next song would be. moreover, all the songs downloaded here are worth-listening to so there is no need to push the next song button. just like now, my ipad is on shuffle mode. i am currently listening to i need a girl song by trey songz. :) it is my feel good song.

Yes! I love the shuffle feature - the suspense and the surprise become a kind of game! I love it completely and I almost always have it on shuffle. You can even change the features of shuffle by having it play more songs of the same artist/genre or less - I left mine on default but its a cool idea if you have multiple genres and are just not in the mood for a certain variety.

It just actually depends on my mood. Sometimes, I like to shuffle it, especially when I know what's next on the list because I want to be surprised what song will come up next. But, most of the time, I don't because I arrange the songs based on something. 
So, I want them to play based on the flow that I've arranged.

There are moments when I enjoy making playlists and I choose one song from each band and make a longer list and then I start listening to it,usually in shuffle mode.Sometimes it's more exciting not to know which song will come next,that's why I enjoy shuffling;I don't do it when I listen to an entire album from beginning to end,I prefer to keep the original order,but anyway I think shuffling makes listening a little more interesting.

I shuffle when I'm in the mood for it. Sometimes I only feel like listening to certain songs or certain artists, but other times I just feel like being random and putting it on shuffle. It's fun, but also sometimes annoying when I have to keep skipping over songs I don't want to listen to xD. For the most part though, I love using Shuffle.

Nice to read from you again. well, as long as the musics were my favorites i don't mind shuffling i over and over again. unfortunately, my CD player only plays shuffle and have no repeats. so, i had to burn DVD's that were my favorite.
for my cell phone i have my favorite songs too but that was last year. unfortunately, i couldn't change them because not only the new model is rare it 's hard to find those in the market.
btw, you got one freaking COOL list of musics there, some of them are my favorites too.

I don't shuffle songs as well. I always play them in the order I want and would even rename them just to get the order of songs I want. I just try to shuffle if all the songs included in the playlist are all my favorite ones so it wouldn't matter what plays next or if it will be played again.

What I usually do is put the files on separate folders depending on my preferences. For example, I would put all my most favorite songs to folder 1, then my next most favorite songs to folder 2, and so on.
I also find it hard to rename all the files especially if it is a large number of files. So, I'll add folder 1 first to the playlist, then folder 2, etc. so that it'll play first my top picks.

To play a song, I usually make a playlist and dont want to shuffle it. I've been short my playlist as my desire and I think shuffle will make it mess because play some song repeatly and random. I dont like it

Yeah I shuffle my music but I chose the option to play it once.
