Whereabouts is the fuel pump on a BMW 730i (1986)?

Seriously though, fuel pumps are usually under the hood, near to the steering wheel, teir very unassuming and filled with blue fluid.

It says on about.com that it ought to be under the rear seat! It´s dark now, I´ll look tomorrow, thanks for the info everyone.

I don't know. But in many cars it is very close to the tank rather than the motor. Some fuel pumps are actually in the tank. Hope this helps.

I don't know, but I would try following the fuel line from the carby back towards the fuel tank. If it is powered by the engine, it will be in the engine bay somewhere, if it is electric, it maybe inside the engine bay or the fuel tank.
