I left home and left the country of my birth at 20. I had just passed my engineering degree and wanted to see the world before I married and settled down. As it turned out, I married at 28 and still hadn't returned. It was 14 years before I came back to my birth place and I have lived here ever since. I think it is a very good thing for the young to 'fly the nest' and see the world. It makes you far more understanding of other countries problems and views.

Hi smacksman Thank you for your response,it is a good thing for young people to fly the nest, being able to stand on your own two feet in life is very important, but it is also good to know that if you get into real difficulties, your room is still going to be the same if you go back to your parents house, for a little bit of support. Have a great day. jojo732

In my home country we always like to live under one roof. we seldom go out to live alone. We get seperated only for job purpose. I got my teaching job when I was 23. My job place was in a far away town. My parents were so worried to leave me alone. But i was quite ok to live alone. It was quite interesting. I was able to learn the world after this only.

I left home at 18. With the violence at home, I had no choice. I wound up living in shelters until I finally managed to figure out how to live on my own and survive the city I finally moved to. It was far from easy, but it was the best thing for me.

hi, i didnt get the chance of leaving h ome.As i will may never get that chance also.I for a twomonth time been away on the purpose of job, however i dont thing i would .There is no certain age for being away. Now adays parents from their children are kids taking them to kindergarten and like that to boding schools and then hostel in the colleges and like that individuality living happens. If job comes then starting from that time individual thinking comes in to mind.
