When you have a girlfriend, girls flirt with you

First, it's possible that girls feel safer around you, knowing you have someone, and are not trying to make a relationship with them. Second, there are some women that feel the need to prove themselves, by showing off to someone who has a girlfriend. There's some sick thing that happens where they say to themselves "I'm better than that girl over there" And to prove that, they flirt with you, to see if you'll be interested, thus proving they are better than the girl you have. The worse part is, if you didn't have a girl friend, they would have no interest in you at all. (assuming this is the reason) Third, sometimes you are a different person when you have a girlfriend, than when you do not. I've met guys that acted, and behaved in a way that made them seem desperate. No girl, or guy for that matter, is attracted to 'desperate'. You may have been coming across that way, even if you didn't mean to. You may have changed in a way that you haven't even noticed, which is attractive.

i think men becomes sexier if they have girlfriends or in an intimate relationship with another girl. I dont know why but i have observed that women flirt with a guy especially if they know that he is taken.

As a woman, I know my limitation but for girls, I think they are the ones who would flirt. There is a huge difference between a woman and a girl. A woman is mature enough to understand things and a girl is the one who thinks she can just have anything she wants no matter what.

Yes, some girls likes challenge. They tend to like man who are attached because it means those men are attractive, or someone good. It does not matter if one is good looking or not, so long they are attached, it means something. It's more like a psychology thing, playing on the mind of women. It's a sense of security we are looking for, as well as some says, jealousy.

I guess, having a gf adds to the appeal of a boy. That's why some girls likes chase after them. But if i am a girl, i would not do that. If i know that the boy has already a gf, i would avoid liking anymore.

well it's not so much as a radar... it's just that when a guy has a girlfriend, it usually means that they are "safe" with the guy and thus will be friendly with the guy because he should not fall for her whatever she does and that she knows they will just be friends. Sometimes it's not really flirting per se. =)

on the other hand, for me it's the other way around. i was more interested with a girl who is already in a relationship, lol! it's true, when i was younger, i was really into flirting with girls who are in a relationship even with the married ones. it was more of a challenge of some ego-type conquest.

Hmm I have heard this before amongst some people I know. I can't say for sure if it has happened to me because I am in a committed relationship and normally I don't flirt with others. But I had heard this before, maybe it is the way one carries themselves during a relationship, like standing tall and confidence that has other notice and feel interested. This kind of makes sense because when one is really happy and very confident maybe it shows to others and others like that.

Hahah well am a girl, my bf told me that already, we don't have radar, or something but if a girl is descent she will not flirt, we just look on to you and see all the things what is good on you, at first it is just only an admiration it is not flirting. Hi yoniarnon.. This is such an interesting topic for discussion. Jealousy could be the prime factor for such behaviour by girls. Being a girl myself i should be reacting this way too but i am bit shy in nature, so i don't care whatever is happening around. But yes, after getting married i get so jealous even if my hubby looks at some alien girl or talks to her. I think such behaviour is reasonable. But i am not sure about girls trying to hit on men already in a relationship.

That's a funny question but so true isn't it??? Girls are so jealous and when a guy becomes "taken". Often times the chick feels as though she missed out.... Are these current friends or just in general?

When you have a girlfriend, you feel confident. Girls pick up on that. When you are single, you feel down and no girl wants to deal with you.

I think its because men feel safe secure and confident when they are in relationship.That i dont need you attitude can do wonders. This applies to women as well.

lol I know what you mean, Its like what they say some people will even go to the extent of wearing a fake wedding ring to make them look more, well I don't know what they are going for I personally think its a dumb idea. I have been in your situation, I mean I was on a date, The girl I was with was sitting in the movie theater while these 2 beautiful girls walked past me and started flirting with me I just smiled back at them and that was it though. Lol maybe they do have some kinda radar... lol
