Since the past week I've been craving for food a lot. Especially junk foods. Yesterday night I was really craving for fried chicken, which almost made me go crazy, but it was really late so I couldn't help it. I did get to eat my delicious chicken today and actually it was just a few hours ago but I'm craving for some pizza already!! What is happening?? Someone help me stop these cravings :'(
Any suggestions will be really appreciated.

Have you been dieting lately? Reason why I ask is that while dieting at times people deprive way too many things that it comes to a point that they want all the wrong foods at once.
I would reccomend that you go ahead and eat what you are craving only do so in small portions. This way you are satisfying the cravings and not over eating too many of them.
I get like that sometimes but then I remember how I exercise daily and eat healthy that I tell myself, do not want to ruin it after all the work. I will eat certain craved foods but do so in moderation.
Remember that the food will always be there, that is if you are dieting and once you reach your goal then you can splurge a bit here and there.
Good luck because some foods can be so tastey.

The first thing that came to my mind was whether you were expecting a baby and that you have said no to some response here. I found something interesting for you which you will find useful. Do visit this link: http://diet.lovetoknow.com/wiki/Meaning_of_Food_Cravings

When I had to face a loss of a dear one in my family the only thing I did was eat and I had put on several kilos on account of that!

I don't know how to stop cravings. As long as you are not eating so much that you are not feeling well, I don't think that you need to stop the cravings. Maybe next time that you have a craving for a food that is not too healthy you can eat something healthy along with it so that you can satisfy your craving without it being too bad for your health. Like next time you want to eat fried chicken, you can eat some green vegetables along with it. I've been wanting to eat a lot of junk food recently too. Maybe it's the nice warm weather affecting our stomachs.

Pizza? did i hear it right? You shouldn't have mentioned that word. Now i'm drooling. Just like you I indulge in food and now my hips are expanding from west to east my belly fat seems to following the law of gravity... the fats are going southbound that fast. Pizza is one of my favorite food stuff. They say, to stop our craving for foods, we should drink glasses of water before meal time. probably to wash any taste on our palate that sends data to our brain. try it and share with us if this really works.

It's normal to crave for food! I could be craving even just after dinner. The only observation I have is because the meal was not satisfying. It is satisfying to me only if I had something solid to bite and chew. At times, it is because I have deprived myself of the food for too long and hence felt the urge to have it! So my recommendation to you is - Eat moderately and you will not crave for it. Afterall, forbidden fruits taste sweetest! LOL.

I used to get food craving, mostly junk foods and became quite ill because of it. I saw a nutritionist and was told that my main problem was sugar. Sugar is highly addictive and used not only in sweet-tasting foods but also in a lot of other preparations. I was advised that the only way to feel better was to discover sugar that was hidden in foods by reading the labels. This turned out to be true, even foods like pizza etc. had sugar in them when I read the labels. The food that you could buy in ready-cooked, fast food outlets didn't have labels, so I was advised that there was more than likely sugar-based food enhancers to make the taste addictive. So I avoided everything and slowly got better. My craving got worse at first and I felt quite bad for a while as I went through withdrawel symptoms, but now that is all fixed and I don't crave for any food now and feel 100% better.. _Derek

You are either expecting or your stomach have produce extra acid that make you craving for foods. So, do eat more to reduce the acid or go for a pregnancy test.

I know what ya mean, Lately I have been craving sweets especially Cannolies, which is an Italian desert. The only problem is I will have them all the time and eventually just get sick of them.
I don't think its odd or anything to have cravings for certain foods at times either.

I know there are foods which you get sick of if you eat them often but to me, it's never the same with fried chicken. I mean no matter how much I eat it, I keep wanting it more.
Ok anyway I have to stop this before it gets out of hand :)

Are you pregnant? Just kidding :) Well, I will support you on your cravings, it's not always that we have food cravings. Go on and satisfy yourself, eat what you want and it will make you happy. If you don't get to eat your cravings then you will just suffer thinking about it and regret not eating it.

OMG! You should have stop yourself from craving too much. Eating is not bad, we need that in fact. But you should know how to control yourself from eating too much. You should consult a food consultant i guess or a nutritionist so you would know what is the right thing to do about it. It's a psychological thing, i just can't explain it well but a professional can. Hope i could help.
Good Luck to you, thatgirl!

I get in moods for certain foods once in awhile. I can relate. Although, I have to watch what I eat, and all that greasy fried food is no good. Maybe you are pregnant. Get a test because I remember when my ex was pregnant, she was craving food all the time.

Probably your mind is just thinking of all these food right now. It's okay to crave for food. But just don't overeat whatever it is that you are craving for. Try taking up some activity to get your mind off the food you are craving for. Maybe it will help.

upon reading your discussion, i can't stop but to crave for those foods you mentioned as well.. LOL i think that to stop your cravings, do something that can divert your attention.. don't think of food too much.. if that still does not work, then sometimes you just have to give in to those cravings.. just eat small servings.. :)
