Friends, Recharge your spiritual battery daily

If you want to have a productive day of mobile phone use, you must make sure to fully charge your mobile phone's battery before you start your day.
Similarly if you want to also have a productive spiritually enlightening and fulfilling day, you need to make sure to charge your spiritual battery also with a deep, intense meditation session.
There are many different meditation techniques, but in this hectic materialistic age there is only one technique that is sufficiently powerful to elevate your consciousness beyond the material plane. That process is mantra meditation, chanting the holy names of God.
You may choose any name of God according to your religion.
If you do not have any specific name, you can take the advice of the Kali Santarana Upanisad that the most powerful names of God to meditate upon for attaining self-realization are:
Hare Krishna, Hare Krishna, Krishna Krishna, Hare Hare
Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare
I recite this daily 108 times, during Puja after bath in the morning.
It gives me moral and physical strength.
Do you mediate too, do you chant any name? Please respond and share your views.
Thanks in advance.
Professor ‘Bhuwan’. .
Cheers have a lucky day ahead.

hi professor I try to meditate but find it hard to focuss and keep
my mind from going off on tangents.I am a Christian so I tried
chanting our father as I wanted to get into a deep meditative
mood.I know what you mean about recharging your spiritual battery.
I see others who have been able to close out the intrusions of
stuff around them and are revived by their meditations.

Actually it is very difficult to control the mind during meditation, it waders so fast, but by practice we can control., takes time lol.
Thanks for sharing your opinion Hatley and lumenmom

hi professor,
remembering to call on God everyday has been a habit. if you have prayers that you do chant, i guess Our Father is a continuous prayer that Christians chant. Hail May and Holy Mary is always part of the prayers. Then our time to say thanks for a beautiful day and to bless us the next day we see the sun.
have a nice day.

I don't really do meditation, but I do pray on a daily basis. The reason that I do this is because of the fact that it is something that my parents taught me to do when I was a child. We never, however, did our prayers in the morning, instead, we did them in the evening. Now, as an adult, I will also say prayers in bed at night before I will allow myself to drift off to sleep. It does make me feel a lot better to do this.

I could go on and on about this. I am guided by God and walk with God every second of every day. My belief is deep in my soul and cannot be touched by anyone. It's amazing to me the number of people who virtually ignore him until they need him or say a bunch of words "in prayer" and think they have done their "chore" for the day move on. I do not have a mantra but do practice meditation when no one is around me to ask whats wrong, why am I so silent or any number of things. It is my own personal place to be.

My day is a mess, when i haven't prayed at the start of the day.
So i see to it that the moment i my alarm went off to wake me up, i will sit upright in bed, while hubby sleeps and pray. I will start it by just being silent and sitting still, feeling the presence of God. Then, after a few minutes i will pray. I pray for my family and myself. After my prayer i will read my daily devotional.
That way, i know i am guided as well as my family, by God, as we go on our daily activities.

Hey thanks for the wonderful share. I would like to start meditating but I have never meditated before in life and I'm not sure if I know how to. Can you teach me some positions or methods of how to start doing it.
Thanks

I have no gods, I recharge my spiritual battery by standing on room on warm, cloudless nights and staring at the Milky Way, in its vastness. I think of how amazing it is that, given these laws of gravity and the nuclear forces and everything else, hydrogen will arrange itself into stars, which will create heavy elements, which will clump together as planets, upon which organic chemicals come together in air pockets under the ocean. Then, when just the right number of chemicals fall together, they split. Two such bubbles. Split, four bubbles, split, eight, split, 16. Just twenty splits and there are a million. However, not all get to split; some are unfit to survive. They die, failing to continue.
Thousands of light years away, a star's life ends. A supernova explosion releases photons of light and energy on many levels of the electromagnetic spectrum.
One ultraviolet photon flies to Earth, hits a micro-organism, and this organism's DNA is mutated. It now exchanges genetic information with other organisms, which leads to much greater genetic diversity.
Years later, billions of years later, one the organisms that were spawned by these lumps of oxygen, carbon, hydrogen, and nitrogen looks upwards, at the stars that provided the material of his body, and the radiation that caused the mutations that allowed him to exist...
And that organism is me.
If that's not spiritual, I don't know what is.
