Greed surpasses self satisfaction. After one is completely satiated, the desire to have more is still there. Greed takes desire to excess. If you eat until you are full you can say you have reached self-satisfaction. When you go beyond that point to where your stomach is bloated and you are stuffed and uncomfortable, you have been greedy.
With money, when you earn your money honestly without taking from others, it is O.K. When you take everything from the poor and don't care how you get it, then you are greedy. As I discuss this, I see how sometimes even in reaching our intermediate self-satisfaction, we can be greedy. If we take everything away from someone else in order to satisfy ourselves, we are greedy.
