Sometimes I feel that it is difficult for me to concentrate on studies, such as homework and textbooks.I am still a students in college.I have been felt in this way since middle school that sometimes I would become sleepy when study but turn to energetic as soon as doing other things, may be surf the internet. Aother case is sometimes I really want to sleep in the lecture but as soon as the class over I forget all the things about sleeping.
Do you guys have ever feel in this way? what would you do if you feel like sleeping when you study or in class.

That happened to me several times. When I know that I have to do something and not something that I want to do, I can feel very bored and sleepy, it's all in the mind, it's because you know that you have to do something that you don't enjoy but you don't have other choice, that always happens.

I get this way too, but I try to stay up by listening to some upbeat music while I study or do homework. I also go to a cafe so that the atmosphere keeps me awake. As for classes, these aren't options so you can try drawing doodles while you listen or if you can bring a laptop to class, maybe you can surf the net while listening to the lecture.

Been there done that, and I think it is quite natural for sure. The type of job I am doing at this moment is quite repetitive and can be quite boring at times. When there is no one calling and nothing is happening I have been known to be tired and want to fall asleep, and even have from time to time there. Unless it keeps up to the time I get home from work, most of the time when I get home I feel refreshed just because I am back home as well.

Some time ago,I had the same problem as yours. To deal with it,I would had a pen in my hand, and draw lines when I came to the key points. I found it very useful to use a pen help myself concertrate myself on books.

Yes, I do. I know it is a bad habit but i cannot control myself from getting sleepy. It always happens during examination week where there are a lot of notes to read/study. sometimes, i find myself falling asleep and waking up the next day. drinking caffeine can't solve my problem. in fact, a cup of coffee works the other way around...

I just feel sleepy in the workplace when ever after I ate my heavy delicious lunch. I just cant help it and they say it is normal because when you eat, blood floats to your stomach in order to digest the food and the concentration of your body will focus on the digestion that is why the other parts of our system rest or working in slow motion that causes us to feel sleepy. In your case, I think you feel sleepy because you are not that too interested doing your homework. It is important to enjoy what you are doing because if not... boredom will cause you to be sleepy. good luck to you buddy =)

YEah!!! I really feel sleepy in class especially noon-time class around 1pm...woohh!!! I think that is my weak time in school.. Sometimes it depends on our activities, if we have quiz, there is no time to sleep .. Also, i feel sleepy when I am in the house, even I play computer games I feel so study during noon time. Maybe there is a scientific explanation on my behavior.

i felt that way too when i was still a college student. I am sleepy when I am not interested with the topic being discussed or if our instructors lack some enthusiasm. Sometimes, I would divert my attention to other things, or most of the time, I overcome my sleepiness and trying to concentrate on the class since it is important!

Me too always experience that kind of feeling. Whenever out professor started discussing i start to feel sleepy and weak. My mind will start imagining a soft bed with a very very soft pillow. And then after the class all that dreaming, weakness, sleepiness will be all gone.

I always have that feeling during my school days, specially on boring subjects with boring teachers! Sometimes, i just make an excuse in class to go to the toilet even though I don't feel like urinating just to escape myself for a few minutes in a boring class. I guess many of us do that too, right? :)

Yes, it happens all the time way back when I was in college. I was always wishing that the classes is over. For some reason I don't know why studies make us sleepy, all I know is that learning is like a brainstorming. If we use our brain so much in one of the activity it makes you drowsy but if you use your body it will never make you sleepy. I guess we just need proper sleep everyday. Studies is an energy draining sometimes but once you have learned something it makes the learning easy.

Yes, I am totally like you- I really get sleepy when it comes to studying especially when i am reading textbooks, sometimes I just end up dozing off. And I get sleepy too in school, especially at 2 or 3 pm classes. And this is a bad habit so I should fight it.

This is understandable. For me, I feel this way in an Anthropology class that I have. The only reason why I took the class was to get an easy "A" There was my first problem right there, I had no interest in the class, I was just in it to make the easy "A." I literally went to sleep last week sitting up in that class lol. I didn't even put my head down on the desk, I fell asleep sitting straight up in my chair. When I woke up, I did feel bad, because it, in my opinion is rude. Anyway, I feel this way when studying as well. I think its just best not to study in bed. This is starting to work for me.
